I love it, and I add the strap from my regular black MAB when I use it. You know how the clip attaches to the bottom ring any normally you unclip and put the long strap up? I don't do that - I bought matching dog leash clips at Home Depot and added them to the rings on thw sides to trach the strap. Can't tell the difference on the gold or silverclips. Someone posted this tip here so I went and bought enough for all my bags.

LOL - i stroke and huff the RM leather at every opportunity. i always think nobody is watching... but i have been busted more than once,

great tip for dogleash clips from Home Depot! I want to try that with the new hobo- so I can clip the sides down and use the side loops for the handle.

BTW - Tracking shows that Cat is in town, being sorted- due for delivery tomorrow!!! Of course it is the one night I have a meeting until 8pm!!! Gaahhh!

Yikes I am so excited for you! I will be checking all evening to see if you got it!
So on the clips, the smallest one they sell is typically the right size. There are two slightly different golds, one is a liter brighter gold and one is a little more brassy looking. A couple of my bags have that darker brassy type gold so it works for me. The silver is a perfect match to the ones on the bags. i think the royal blue you got has silver hardware. at any rate, yay on the Cat! I hope you love love love it! :love::heart::

Cat, this is identical to the bag I just bought. Mine came from eBay (seller in NYC area)...Wonder if it is one in the same? That would be wild! The pics you posted for your sale on Bonanza are great at showing the difference between the hobo and other MAs...

Sounds amazing!!!! I love the birdie but sadly I sold my only one. I'll have another one day.. that one just wasn't meant for me. It was a MAC but had the shorter strap so it didn't lay right when I wore it X-body

thank you :smooch:. that was a Heartthrob MAC, i suppose. it has a diff chain but i didn't realize or care the length as long as the bag is beautiful and in good condition. i've started to think i'm a collector more than a user now. it's dangerous being a collector cuz i know this is how easy people go bankrupted :D

Haha yes, I've become a collector as well and it didn't happen until I came across RM. Before that I might buy one bag a year or just when I see something that caught my eye.

Now I'm constantly on the hunt for my next purchase. And it's like I don't want to buy anything else because it dips into my "purse fund"

Kasey, it it completely different from the ill-fated NYC MAB. The NYC was super-thick and pebbly and stiff, with a dull surface. it stood up straight and stiff out of the box, and would have needed a lot of breaking in. The Black Cat is soft and silky like a pair of buttery fine leather gloves. The NYC MAB probably weighed at least a pound more. The Cat would smoosh pancake flat, except for the lining: the wide blue-white stripe fabric is thick and stiff. It has a heavy-ribbed grosgrain appearance- with some sheen, like ribbon, but it is thicker and stiff- as if starched- and a little crackly.

I already loved her up,with a thick coat of Leather Honey (excuse to massage her)...

now you're making me want an OS bag! it's not easy to find it in my fav color though.
