The leather will make you reconsider any other rm leather. When I carry mine, I pet and smell it when nobody is watching. I need rehab because I have this rm bag sickness, heehee.
I love it, and I add the strap from my regular black MAB when I use it. You know how the clip attaches to the bottom ring any normally you unclip and put the long strap up? I don't do that - I bought matching dog leash clips at Home Depot and added them to the rings on thw sides to trach the strap. Can't tell the difference on the gold or silverclips. Someone posted this tip here so I went and bought enough for all my bags.

It's longer than a MAB (end to end), and about the same height and width (front to back) as a MAM. Seller listed it as a Rebecca Minkoff large purse, which is exactly what it is (dork here didn't notice the absence of handles) - yet it's awesome. A perfect jean- bag... rugged chocolate brown with favorite grey-pinstripe lining. HOT!! It's an un-MAB, with Nikki strap instead of handles (handle attaches to the dog leash clips a-la new strap, so they can't be clipped down like a MAB unless I rig a different kind of strap. With my bag closet,I have one or two possible straps. Or ten.

Brown is the perfect color for this size/ style of un-MAB:

As cathead87 and eehlers said, it's a MA Hobo. It's a pretty old style but I think it was brought back briefly in recent years but only sold during a couple of sample sales.

just from the photos, i cannot see any big differences between a regular MAB and an MA hobo except no handles and the strap looks shorter. it's a great color. can do all year. i believe it's a real treasure which is rare to find. so, again RocketGirl you nailed it!

Just adding to the consensus: it is the reissue (reboot?) of the MA Hobo, from the 2010 sample sales. You can also tell it's not the original old school version because of the black/white pinstripe lining. The hobo strap should be comfier on the arm than the typical rolled MAB handles.

yes it looks v vintage.

i always think that would be great if RM can make a catalog for all her bags with detailed info like measurements, production year, lining, hardware, leather type, special remarks, etc. if she's gonna publish a book like that, i will def buy it!

maybe i can do something about it :idea:

The way some of the SO designs have magically appeared in the product lineup, maybe the way to get RM to do it (a catalog) may be to suggest it as an SO... (Is that overly inappropriate to say?)

I purchased a MA Hobo from a sample sale (2010) and ended up selling it. Here is the link to the listing...there are also a few pics comparing it to a full-size MAB:
