I'm trying to track down the discontinued Love, Chloé by Chloé! People are selling it on ebay for crazy $$$$$, but I'm not about to pay that amount - at least not until every other attempt fails.

You bet I'm beating myself up over the fact that I discarded a nearly full bottle of it back in 2012! If only I'd known, right?

I’m eyeballing Le Labo Thé Noir. Been on a tea kick lately but haven’t been able to sniff this one in person so I may buy a sample to try.
I don't know that I'd really say it smells like tea. Le Labo names their fragrances after the ingredient with the highest concentration in the formula, but that does not translate to the fragrance actually smelling like what it's named after. The fragrance usually takes on the characteristics of ingredients of lower concentration in the formula.

For instance, Patchouli 24 is named after patchouli--patchouli because it's the highest concentration of the ingredients and 24 because there are 24 ingredients--but it really smells more like birch tar and vanilla, so people complain about it not being what they expected. That's a common complaint across most of Le Labo's line.

Thanks for the heads up, I’ve been reading online reviews and it seems to depend on body chemistry. The predominant notes appear to be fig and rose although others describe it as a strong mug of tea or even sour beer. I have the Basil hand pomade and love it because it smells like green tea to me and not herbaceous.

I think I am buying Dior EdenRoc next I love the private collection and really all DIOR perfume. I can't wait to see what Kurkdjian brings to the house as the new director. I recently purchased Vanilla Diorama and Feve Delicieuse and LOVE them

I don't have a fragrance that's set on my To Buy list, mostly because I have a lot at the moment and I don't need a new fragrance. I'm trying to be more selective with my purchases now, so I'm not buying full bottles. My last purchase was a sample from Le Labo's City Exclusive line.

On my testing list:
Le Labo Lys 41 (I currently wear L'Artisan's La Chasse aux Papillons, and this comes off like an older sister with its tuberose and other white florals)
Byredo La Tulipe
Margiela Replica line - I liked Whispers in the Library but Matcha Meditation was hitting it for me. I forgot to try Under the Lemon Tree.
