Bumbag dauphine and that gorgeous little vertical trunk Pochette both place in cart US. I would love that tiny trunk, but it’s so impractical! It’s basically a phone case with a strap but it’s fabulous!
 
Found a Favorite MM DE, but the magnetic closure was not effective, so I have to return it[emoji17]

I’m pretty sure the bag has been bought and returned a few times! I ordered May 11, and it had a 3rd week 19 date code!
So, on the hunt again!

I just got my Favorite MM DE, too, after months of stalking the online store. But of course (as I had a bad feeling about), the canvas is not smooth and is bumpy and has dents. The date code is the first week of 2019. It must have been used and returned. I’m very disappointed. I called customer service to exchange but they were of no help. One person told me to just send the bag to their flagship store and wait for an exchange and that I would have to pay for the shipping and I wouldn’t have any number or email to call to follow up. Like, are you kidding me? What if my bag got lost? How would I get my refund? The rep muted his line so I would have no choice but to think we got disconnected and hang up. I was kind and polite the entire time. So upsetting..:,( Sorry for rant.

Other than the closure, it’s a perfect bag. I’m not close to a store, so I’m hoping I can get lucky again, but I have prepared myself that may not happen.

Just seeing the drama this morning. I don’t have anything to add. I do want to throw my support to JPG. We all buy for our own reasons and it doesn’t really matter. I know comments on here have driven you away from TPF before, hope you decide to stay!

Please don't leave. Your posts are great. We all choose how we want to spend our money - it doesn't matter how much - on what we want. This is where we get to air our pleasures with no guilt.

I ordered online but only after months of refreshing the page. Anytime I’ve called customer service they said they can’t help me because they have no stock anywhere in the entire country (US). They said they no longer have waiting lists for it. The phone customer service is very inconsistent. I get a different response depending on who I speak with. But what is the same each and every time is as soon as the words ‘favorite mm’ come out of my mouth they automatically decline to help lol Like they have been trained/instructed to not assist with tracking down a favorite.

After reading this post and the other one like it, I am petrified to get my Favorite MM in monogram on Monday. It’s so disheartening to work so hard to finally be able to purchase these bags and have these issues - And then not easily get a replacement if there is something wrong. While I am not like others who seem to look for/expect a flaw, something like the wavy bumpy canvas or inoperable magnetic closure are big issues.

I hope it all works out for you. Keep us posted.

Sorry to hear this. Did you post pictures somewhere? I have my favorite arriving next week and would love to know what to look out for.

Congrats on your Mono! I hope she will be just as you dreamed of.
I’ve decided to try to work the creases/wrinkles/dents out myself. I watched a video on youtube and saw a technique there. I also looked on this PF and found threads where others have had similar issues with other canvas bags, like the speedy, and they were able to soften out the creases by overstuffing the bag with old tshirts or pillows. (I will also put it by my windowsill and let it get some heat from the sunlight to help soften the creases/bumps). I stuffed it today with an old rolled up tshirt and after only a few hours the creases already look much better! I think I’m going to keep her. She is perfect in every other way. I see no other flaws, even in the strap and magnetic closure. I am sharing this because if you your Favorite comes in like mine with the awful bumpiness, don’t give up. There is hope that you may be able to smooth out the canvas.

I just replied to Maryvn below who had a similar question. I will try to get rid of the bumpines myself. Fingers crossed. I will update you all. I will try to post before and after pictures (maybe on a different thread so I don’t divert from the main topic here).
