Omg Europe is the WORST! There's hardly anything available on the site at all! I don't know why I bother stalking, it's a very frustrating experience in Europe. What a way to run a business! To be permanently OOS! Madness!

Indeed - but part of the fun of tpf is how kind and generally fun people are here. Important to protect the safe space here so we can all enjoy! No need for rudeness and in worst cases tpf removes a post or a poster if it’s bad enough. Way different than other social media which is one reason I come here - no trolling or flaming allowed!

So does anyone know why so many things are popping up 404 page not found right now during stalking and then the item popping back up? Does that usually mean the item you are stalking is almost gone, or just the strangeness of their website behavior?

Since the upgrade to the website last month, I have noticed several errors and latency issues. Perhaps, LV is making more inventory available and the 404 error is a result of it. I’m hoping these bad things are a sign of good things to come.

I hope so too! I like your optimism. It’s so interesting how luxury websites are typically not “luxury” tech! It’s disconcerting as you are stalking to get a 404 but the item is still in your wishlist (thank goodness!). For those of us without a boutique nearby this is it except when traveling.

While I do agree with this, I think it's important to remember that tpf is a global forum too... Different cultures have different mannerisms. What is rude to one person may be a socially acceptable question/behavior to another. One country can also have different mannerisms, depending on the region. And if they're not familiar with English, they may use phrases or expressions that come off harsh and rude, not knowing that there are more tactful ways to say something.

@viewwing You're post did come off rude. I don't know where you're from. Either way, unless someone believes they have a problem AND is asking for help, you don't question their spending habits. If your question came from a real place of concern, phrase it better next time, or maybe pm them so you don't publicly put them on the spot. If English is not your first language and it's a touchy subject, absolutely disclose that information. People will be a lot more forgiving and understanding because you are more likely to use words and phrases that you don't know aren't ok.

Hello there! I hope this is not the incorrect thread as far as my question goes, so my apologies in advance if it is. My wife has had a rough time lately and I was hoping to surprise her with a LV handbag. I learned through a friend that she would like the Favorite PM with the monogram. I have been checking the website every other day or so and it's not changed from the "dreaded" Call for Availability :) I was curious about two things.. if I change the location in the top right to another country, is that inventory different as far as the website is concerned? In other words, if there is one available in Hong Kong, would it show up not only on HK-based website but also the US? Also, I have the good fortune to be able to travel pretty frequently and would not be opposed to traveling overseas to get the bag. Is there any recommendation as to how to best locate one overseas if the above (changing the country on the website) doesn't work? Thank you so much for any help!

Hi! It is very thoughtful of you to surprise your wife with such a nice gift. Per multiple CAs, the Favorite PM is discontinued. If you find one, it will be limited to store inventory. I hope you’re able to find one for her and I hope she feels better soon.
