What is your reply when someone asks you if your bag is real?

I ignore the question. It’s rude to ask, anyway.

Also, don’t judge a guy for knowing/not knowing brands based on his looks. For all we know, he might have a wife/gf/friend that is a big LV/luxury fan. He could have asked out of genuine curiosity because maybe he doesn’t get to see LV, real or fake, that often. Everything else after could have been a coincidence.

If you ever feel uneasy though, stay in public.
True enough, but I did say you can’t always judge a book by its cover. Maybe he thought that I didn’t look like someone who could afford it either. I certainly wasn’t ’dressed to the nines’ lol.

I've never been asked if my LV's are real or not. I honestly think I'd just say yes, it is. I live in a college town, so the crime is really low here, so I don't think I'd lie and say it was a fake. But, I also think I'd be more aware of my surroundings say if I was in Denver and it was at night. Then I'd probably just walk away and ignore the question.
I would say it’s not common here. I live on an island, not a huge city…no luxury stores at all, not even a Coach or Michael Kors! And our homeless population keeps increasing due to the fairly mild weather here. Crime rates are definitely up. Makes me feel like I really don’t have any occasion to carry my beloved handbags

I'd say, "It's a real bag" and move the conversation on. It's something I do think about for the future. Currently I live in Hong Kong where every other person has a real designer bag, an excellent fake or a barely trying fake. Nobody notices your LV. But if I move home in the coming years, I'm not from an area or family where people carry bags like that.
Yes, I can understand that. I do see LVs every now and then, but not really Chanel, Dior etc.

If anyone other than a friend or another woman carrying an LV of her own asks, I tell them it's a superfake and name-drop Repladies

Not about to get mugged for my purse, and yes it definitely does happen. People are desperate and they know they can resell a designer bag for enough to be worth committing the crime. Hubby & I have to go to the bad part of town to pick up a package tomorrow and I'll be taking my plain black Rebecca Minkoff bag to avoid attention.
