I never cared for Rolex until the Sky-Dweller came out. It's the right size for me and so well balanced.
In terms of holy grail watches, A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 is probably my favorite.

I haven't seen nor tried these on in person, but chopard always looks beautiful; and i love the complications of some of the vca watches (particularly the one that plays music).
And the Yeager reverso is a fun twist on a classic

Out of these Rolex, but we're taking contemporary watches I prefer JLCs.
Out of these choices, I would go with Patek. I own a Tag and a Tudor and I enjoy wearing them. My next "achievement" watch is going to be either a Breitling or an Omega.

I'm really not interested in the highest end watches as I'd rather spend $50k-100k+ on other jewelry items, theoretically. But in under $20k watches, I like Rolex, Cartier, Omega, JLC. I lean towards classic and Art Deco styling, which you can tell from my list!

I have this massive appreciation for Rolex they are so well made and last forever. I inherited my mums SS date just silver linen face when I was 15. The watch is 45 years old, never had a service and it still works perfect.
