When I was born my Gran gave my Mum a ring which has been passed down my family line for years. She said I could have it when I turned 18 and all my life I've been so excited about wearing it. I finally turned 18 last month and I've hardly taken it off my finger since! It's a platinum band with diamonds and sapphires.

My favorite piece of jewelry right now is a David Yurman amethyst ring my husband bought me for my birthday. It's my birthstone. Here's a pic of it from NM's website.

My Christian Dior beaded choker necklace. I believe it was shown on the Dior 98 haute couture runway. It was also in a perfume ad for awhile. A gorgeous piece!

I've got a few:

1. an 18carat solid gold bracelet that was given to me by my parents when i was born. It has 2 charms dangling from it, a heart and an angel. It lives wrapped in cotton wool in its original box because i don't wear it anymore, but i plan on giving it to my first born daughter.

2. a pair of 22carat solid gold hoop earrings that i wore for 15 years straight without ever taking it off. Was given to me by my mother 12 months after i got my ears pierced. I only took it off when i took up martial arts at university.

3. My engagement ring. I was fortunate enough to be able choose and design exactly what i wanted.

My favorite piece is the Hello Kitty diamond necklace that my mom bought for me (I picked it out). The chain also has a face of Hello Kitty on one side and "KT" on the other. I don't really like the "KT" but oh well.
