Back in 2005, I got the Balenciaga Dolma Shoulder w/ chain strap and planet (pod) attached. I just put my coins in the pod.

Hi, I've seen some Bal bags with the so-called pods hanging in front as accessories or at the strap to lengthen the bags.

What exactly are they? Who made those? Are they still available?

I have a rogue pod myself. Balenciaga originally made these pods as a kind of a coin purse that attaches to the strap of your bag. I don't think they make them anymore but this Irish company now makes them and they're called rogue pods. They have all kinds of lovely designs, if you google "rogue pod" their company website will come up. They are all hand crafted and cost $100.

I believe the planet could also be used as a strap extender, as it has hardware on both ends. The rouge pods only have the clip at the top, which is (unfortunately) the only think keeping me from indulging in one.

Rogue actually now makes some with a loop on the opposite end to use as a strap extender.

LOL! That reminds me when I first asked my sister if I should get a boobie to put on my bal she was like WTF! That is SO gross why would you put boobies on your purse and she was calling me a perv! It was funny though I showed her what they were and she was like oh but why do they call them boobies when they can just call them coin purses? Idk?
