What is the Planet, the Pod, the Boobie? and What are the used for? What fits inside

I actually use mine for coins etc. and when I am travelling it has been especially useful as I am able to separate the different coin currencies, just recently I had my US coins in one side and my English change in the other.

I used mine when traveling today and put my hotel key in it! I think it looks better with something in it to give it shape.

I keep 'emergencies' in mine:

- a plaster
- 2x headache tablets
- 1x hayfever tablets
- 3x contraceptive pill (:shame:....in case i go away for the w/end and forget to pack!)
- hair tie
- tampon ( :shame:!)

in my Balenciaga Planets (i have 2 light grey and black) i keep all of the above on one side and in the other miniatures from department stores:

- miniature lipgloss
- miniature mascara
- miniature perfume
- miniature moisturiser

LOL the miniatures side is pretty full but there's still plenty of room in the emergencies side

it's stuff i used to keep in the inside pockets of my bags and kept having to transfer when i changed bags, now i just have to unclip a pod/planet.

Danae - i know bit freakishly organised but as a Court Clerk i constantly have to think a head for potential problems and it's seeped in to my personal life!

I have a snake and egg and just bought an alice and mad hatter (hope to get today in mail ). I usually put my cell phone hands free thingy because it tangles with everything if I put it in my purse!

Update: I keep a tin of Rosebud Salve in it, plus a hair elastic. This lip balm really helps the pod keep its shape pretty well.

Can someone please explain to me what's the purpose of the planet accessories? Does it have a function or is it just a decoration? I am so curious because they look really interesting and I just don't know much about them. Are they very popular or just an extra thing to buy from Bal? Also, could someone send pics too. Can you put anything inside that little thing?

The boobie, planet or Pod (as they are called) are really useful for many things. I have them on all of my bags, although I have "rogue pods" which is an independant designer that makes pods for Balenciaga bags (do a search many of us have them). Anyway as for your question: I used mine mostly for coins. I live in the city and have to park at parking meters a great deal - I store all silver coins in mine. When I need a coin its right there on the front of my purse, easy to get to!

I believe the planet could also be used as a strap extender, as it has hardware on both ends. The rouge pods only have the clip at the top, which is (unfortunately) the only think keeping me from indulging in one.

What is/was the price of the original planet/boobie? I guess since they have been discontinued the availablity and price will go up. But what should I expect?
