currently I have spent 3k for my Chanel. I don't think I will be going over that for a while. Maybe I'll consider investing in a Birkin in a few more years? But for now I am MORE than happy with my Chanel and LVs and don't feel the need to spend more than 3k.

The most I've spent it about $400 with tax. I don't see myself going past that for a very long time, I'm not even working now, just going to school full time and once I graduate in a year and a half and find a job I will probably be willing to spend more. At the moment with the very limited budget that I have from savings from when I was working, but budget is about $200, but I'm pretty content with my limited collection now so I try not to be tempted by shopping for new bags lol. A lot of the time though, my decisions to spend more/less depend on the brand and the quality of the bag. I saw a bag I liked over the weekend but didn't think the brand was worth the money. Then a few days later I found another bag for more money and didn't think it was a bad deal, since the brand was known for better leather. I purchased neither, since I wasn't 100% in love with either, but I do base my decisions to not buy a bag I like under my budget because I don't think the brand is worth the price.

This totally goes against my grain, however, I am going after something that I have been considering buying for some time now and am just about ready to splurge. No, you're not the only one. That's my new budget these days. As a homeowner with endless house maintenance expenses, I just can't justify more than that.
