What is a bag you obsessed over, but ultimately did not buy (and why)?

Celine Belt Bag. As much as I love it and how it looks on others, I find it a bit heavy and despise the opening.

The Chloe Tess. Very cute but doesn’t hold much.

I have come to realize that I am not the cool girl Chloe or the chic minimalist Celine.
I'm lusting after the Nano Belt bag right now (haven't tried it on in person yet, though). Did you try on the nano and find it heavy? I think the nano's closure is just a magnet, rather than the finicky looking clasp that the other sizes have.

I lusted after the LV Montaigne bb in empreinte for about 3 years. i watched YouTube videos about it, asked questions on tpf about it and read the whole clubhouse thread. When I finally got round to purchasing it I realised I didn't like the how open it felt at the top and was not sure about how practical it would be to carry so I returned it. I still think about it now and then and sometimes get tempted to repurchase. I did end up buying the LV Blanche bb recently to satisfy my empreinte craving.

Others I have listed over but not bought are :
Prada bags -worry about quality
Celina nano luggage - worry the robot face would bug me after a while
Diorama wallet on chain - fits less than Chanel Woc

Oh great thread! I was obsessed with LV Mattis Pouchette, and actually did end up buying a special edition one (I think it’s called the trunk or something?), but I ended up returning it... it has too much pink on the bag for my liking, and at that time it was too fashionable (I prefer plainer looks). I had the opportunity to buy the reverse one, but by then my desire for it already diminished so I passed... Had they have one back then I would have grabbed it without second thoughts! I guess it’s just not meant to be (although I can’t promise myself I will never end up buying one!).

The Dauphine. I love it in pictures and I even saw it in the store, but I noticed the edges curling in the store and knew I’d hate that worsening over time. So, that was easy to remove from my wishlist.

It was a size 30 Hermes Black Garden Party bag in Clemence leather. It looked so cute when I tried it on and then the SA said I could put my things in it to see how much it would carry. Well I did and the bag felt like I was holding a can of rocks-too heavy even in that size. So that did it for me even though I had lusted over that bag for 6 months prior.

I never have gotten the Celine belt bag either. I love the way it looks, but there is always something else that I get first.

Years ago....LV Brea. I thought that this bag would mark my entrance into the premier bag world. Nope. And looking back, I'm not sorry I didn't buy a vernis bag. It's just not my thing.

I also haven't bought the LV Pochette Metis, despite the hype and trying it on multiple times in the boutique. My bag count is at 10 right now, I really don't want to exceed that, and I like my bags to serve different functions. I have a both a small Chanel flap and a Gucci Disco that I can wear cross body. The PM would be redundant. So...no PM for now.

Chanel Reissue. I loved it online but IRL not at all. Plus a SA showed me how it can be stored flat and then I couldn't undo it anymore so I knew immediately it's not for me.

Chanel Boy. This bag is so me, but the stiff flap changed it all. Maybe someday.

Some limited edition LVs. I go to the store 1-2 a year and there are none left, haha.
