I dont call it an obsession but a passionate love:) i currently enjoying my beautiful bags with not a new one since sept 14( anniversary). I still love to read tof posts and learn of new styles as well as post pics in lv in action. I use my lv everyday and i actually buy less crap and Save my money more. No current bag savings plan happening

Ive learned to never say "this is my last bag."

Ive said it a couple of times..and Ive broken them each n every time. So now I just keep quiet since no one from my family believes me anymore , hehe.

I've learned:

-- That I have no interest whatsoever in leather upkeep or care. I don't own a single conditioning or waterproofing product. I pray to the handbag gods and let the chips fall where they may.

-- I'm not one of those people who can carry a different bag every day. It annoys me to have to swap out my things. I tend to carry each bag for a month or more at a time.

-- Durability is more important to me than luxury. I can't grasp the idea of spending more money to get something more fragile like lambskin.

-- Bags are a total biotch to store. I've spent years trying to perfect a system where the bags are shaped and cared for but not taking up my entire closet. I'm still working on it.

-- There is no such thing as a forever bag.

I can't remember if I answered before or not but I've learned that I'll never be satisfied!
About the time I think I'm happy with what I've got, another reveal comes along and makes a liar outta me!:D

I have to concur. I learned how ambitious I am with possessions.

Also I learned how to justify things to SO and occasionally hide some details :graucho:

I've learned that:

1. My name is DiamondLyfe, and I am a purseaholic. I'm looking for a 12 step program.

2. There is no such thing as "this is my last bag". There is always another one around the corner. I WANT MORE AND MORE!

3. I actually have really good taste in bags. And I've learned a wealth of information from TPF

Lol! Exactly how I feel! Yeah learned a lot from TPF

I regretted some bags I bought, mostly because of color or size reason. So I will try not to buy another black or brown bag. Will also try to buy less lambskin.

Do not go on bag shopping spree at once!

Some bags r nice but I must admit to myself that it's a waste of money if they r heavy bags. I tend to put heavy bags on display only.

All my bags are expression of myself.

I learned more about my likes n dislikes from bags compared to clothes/shoes/jewelleries.

[emoji7] I will probably stay as purseaddict throughout my life.

Oh one more thing I learned -

- Mini bag that's too mini looks cute but totally not practical.
- NEVER buy another designer mobile cover. Smart phones keep getting bigger!
- Only buy white bag from less expensive brand unless U plan only to use the white bag/clutch for occasional fancy dinner
- coated canvas n nylon is a must, they are useful during 3-4 months rainy season where I live. Or for traveling.
- dont rush into giving away bags u no longer like. U might regret.
- Except for Chanel n LV which never go on sale...try to resist the urge to buy other brand at full price. Just saw few of my Gucci on 50% sales! [emoji22]
- Despite having more than 40 designer bags, I still have problem finding the right bag almost every day. Can't seems to find the best color, size and style to match my wardrobe and shoes [emoji37]

[emoji173]️ U will never have too much RED Bags[emoji173]️ Afterall we can get another red but in different hardware!

1.) I stopped saying "this is my last bag" and actually believing it...
2.) I can admire a bag WITHOUT actually having to own it (like the Celine Phantom. Beautiful but way to big, heavy, unpractical...). Crazy, but true! ;)
3.) Always do tons of research before buying an new bag. This way I never regretted an expensive bag purchase until now.
4.) I have a diverse bag collection in regards to sizes, styles, colours etc, but I always gravitate towards black bags, especially if they are over 2000 Euros.
5.) I am sticking to classical styles and colours
6.) I love soft leathers, but in reality I can not wear them because they scuff so easily and that makes me want to kill myself...
7.) I never buy a bag that is on sale, only if it has been on my wish list long before

And last but not least: I love this community and its great and supportive members!! Thank you for all your help and support! My bag collection would not be the same without you guys! ;)

1. Buy bags for the lifestyle that you have, not the one you want.

2. Another bag that you love as much as your current obsession will always come along.

3. Bags are not investments.

4. You shouldn't try to live a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget. Beer has its charms as well!

5. It is important to have a community around you that is kind and supportive.

I like monogram. Call me tacky if you want, but I think of it as a print.

I love leather.

Carry what I like be it my Gucci, MK, or Dooney. My bags don't have to be luxury just amazing quality. Watching YT videos has taught me that I don't want to be a judgemental snob and a slave to labels. Those women and their groups are condescending and a little stuck up. What am I supposed to do if I don't want or can't spend 1000s on a bag. Carry my stuff in a plastic bag?!

Not to judge anyone by the bag that they carry...

Unless it's a fake.
