ROTFLMAO!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
New learning I just had...because evidently I'm slow. 😵
If I am supposed to be on "ban island" I can't keep window shopping for bags. (Duh!)

I'm married. I don't go looking for single guys. People who are dieting don't need to visit bakeries. Alcoholics don't spend their free time in bars. So why do I think that when I'm on handbag ban, that "just looking" at bags online / in stores makes any kind of sense??? Of COURSE I'll find something to drag me off ban. LOL!

Um...soooooo...Now that I realized this, can someone come over her and snatch my laptop out of my clutches?
You're so right!

Guilty of this, too. [emoji23]

I've learned that just when I think my collection is complete, I come across a deal I just cannot pass up. Every. Time.
YES!!!! THIS!!!!!

The only thing that has stopped my buying is I have a semi soft limit on how many bags I want to own and I sell bags if I don't get a baseline amount of wear in a year. Otherwise, I don't know when the madness would end. LOL!

Something else I've recently learned:

I prefer neutral handbags.

This has come as kind of a shock to me, because I'm a color lover. My first designer bag back in the day was bright red; my second was bright green. Now, my collection is shaping up in hues of black, brown, white, and gray. What has happened to me??? I think it's because my wardrobe is pretty colorful and whimsical, and so a bright statement bag has dangerously high potential to look clownish. Also, as I get older, I find I enjoy looking "sophisticated" more than I used to (I've always been a pretty staunch hippie, LMAO). So I'm going with it. Even though I'm attracted to colorful bags almost as if by HABIT (that's really what it feels like), I feel best about the neutrals, and I'm glad I'm realizing this before I blow a bunch of coin on oranges and turquoises and various other things that I'd admire but then reach right over to grab my black bag for the hundredth time.

I've learned to really test drive bags in stores- put your stuff in them, walk around with it, model it, and take your damn time doing it!! Don't be afraid to ask for suggestions from the SA. BUY WHAT YOU LIKE! If something's too expensive and you try to fill the space with something cheaper, it'll probably cost you more in the long run. So cut back on those morning coffees and eating out and you can get what you want!!

A few things but most importantly, which applies to MY personality style, is: if I am not shopping for Chanel or LV (no Hermes for me-again personal taste) I buy things on sale or I learned to look for pre-owned at a few places. I am Not good at looking all over town for pre-owned bags since I am afraid of buying fakes. But this site has helped me so much!!!! I have even learned how to spot fake Mulberry bags lol. By talking to ppl I have been learning about bag trends, bag depreciation, different types of leather, etc etc. so much fun!!!
