What do you think of Dooney's latest?

Now, this is a very fine example of how a person who really loved their Bayou Collection could get totally turned off the Dooney for good.

That would be me, I'm afraid. I have several Dooney bags that I love and carry regularly; in fact, I'm currently carrying one today (from last year's Nordstrom anniversary sale). But this? Not for me. And at those prices? Even more so. Feh.

I am assuming their intended audience is a preteen girl but what majority of preteens have 200 bucks to drop on a bag? Bees with Big Bug eyes? They make Coach's Ladybugs and Fish almost classic...LOL

I love that new distressed leather bag they have and I have always loved the Bayou and Nile collection but this is just really weird stuff here. I add it to the "other" weird stuff they have like the Tattoo collection.

I think these bags are to young for high school. I would stick with 10-12 year olds.

Agreed.

I'm not a fan.

And as for above comment about who's kids have that money... the family I babysat for in college for extra cash, the girls got their first coaches around 10/11 and louis vuitton purses at 13. The one my friend babysat for, the girl was 13 and had 5 of her own fendis. They had nicer handbags than some of my college friends were carrying around. Believe me, if a kid wants it, a parent will buy it! But I much prefer the coach bumble bees and lady bugs to these for young girls!

The bees are cute, they remind me of the flash pieces that you see on the wall of a tattoo place. But I wouldn't carry that, having the bees all over is a bit too juvenile for me.

sorry, i never liked D&B...
everytime i see their advertising in my teen vogue, i flipped faster than light :p
the last time i saw, they asked emma roberts to design the bag. they tried too much...
soory for D&B fans out there :p

my friend thinks it's just an alternative..say you're a mom who has a love for purses like LV (Like most here) and you daughter looks up to you & wants a nice designer purse instead of spending $600+ on a LV for her, you get her a Dooney. So, you don't have to really worry about her ruining it.

The design is kind of cute but for preteens only like 10-12.

They are cute if you are a teen. Their line has gotten way too young looking for my taste. Even the models in the catalogs are teen aged girls.

I couldnt have said it better myself. This line looks like someone under 15 should be carrying it. :yucky:
