I've been hearing about this! It's becoming more commonplace, but I don't understand what is motivating this madness? Is this a new form of hate, is it just a means to get ransom money, are the dogs being resold on the market...like what is the purpose of hurting people in this way? I cannot imagine how I'd feel if someone stole my fur balls!:sad::sad:
Yes recently there an article about it becoming more commonplace in Britain as well. They're doing it for money. Since the lockdown, everyone has acquired a dog and the shelters are now empty so those that still want a dog are going to breeders and subsequently pay 4-5 figures for a puppy.

Its the same reason why purses and phones are being stolen in broad daylight and homes are being robbed (regardless if the inhabitants are in the house). This is all for money.

In my neck of the woods, covid is still prevalent and gaining steam thanks to the variants. So households are pretty much sticking with themselves. My peers are guarding their elders so it's not so simple as calling a friend unfortunately. My kind is being attacked. The few times I've left my house during the day, I've noticed there's no other my race outside in broad daylight.

Agreed I need fresh air and exercise but like I've said, it's not safe. Hence not seeing anyone in my ethnic background out walking in the sidewalk
