i got mine from the store from this thread http://forum.purseblog.com/the-jewe...auren-conrad-two-finger-name-ring-398652.html

I love it :) it's 14k gold and it's very cute~ the necklace is 18inches long i think so it's not exactly a short choker type but i think the style is fine for me. you can also change chain or bling it out.

I got my two finer name ring from them too... lol it's not a trend but sometimes i think it's fun to wear some unique gold jewelry.

I bought one back when Carrie was rocking hers (with my name of course) and you know... I think I wore it once or twice? I guess I felt kind of shy in the end - just as everyone's saying above! Felt weird with everyone knowing my name! :)

what do you guys think of getting one but not with my name on it but a significant other's name (such as a husband, child, or boyfriend/girlfriend)?

You mean this type but someone else's name? I think that would be confusing.

Typically, people use engraving to make something significant into a keepsake (like on the back of a charm, or inside a ring or bracelet). Personalizing something symbolic to represent someone you are remembering makes it special ... and NOT a fashion trend.

I'm old enough to have lived through this trend twice, so it doesn't work for me. If it's your first time around, sure I guess. But I do think the above look had it's day already and can send mixed signals to those who see you wearing it (considering all the opinions on the previous five pages).

well Im actualy wearing mine right now, I have one in gold and silver and wear them alot (had them a few years now) its kinda my signature piece, i have the script type lettering, i have to say i dont like the big bulky block letter type, as i do associate it with chavs.
Ive spent the past few years putting dog and cat names onto collars, (i sell them online) so having my own name necklace is very me lol. I love anything personalised really, i like things to be made just for me:).

i used to have one but with my significant others name on it. it was kind of an "im taken, dont ask" statement. guys will hit on you even if you wear a wedding/engagement ring, but few still will if you have another guys name around your neck. And the few that do... you dont want them anyways :)
