What do you all think of NAME NECKLACES like the one SJP wore in SATC episodes?

i think the one SJP had was silver...not sure though..

I think those are kind of edgy. They are a classic in the sense that they will not go out of style. I don't see them in posh and more classy combinations, but I see them in outfits with an edge.

I love them and hope to get one for myself. I find it stupid when some people carry the necklace and it says "Carrie". I highly doubt Carrie is their name, they just wear it because of SatC. I find it ridiculous.

I love them! I don't think they're trashy at all. I have a gold one and a pink plastic one from Tatty Devine.

I don't have a necklace that spells my name but I do have the Tiffany & Co. alphabet necklace with my first initial in script. I think it's a cute alternative for someone who wants a "personal" type of jewelry, but doesn't want their full name out there.

I like letter pendants better than a full name one....

But maybe if it was diamond studded or different...plain ones look alittle off to me....

whenever i see someone wearing it, i think they are a wannabe carrie bradshaw. i think carrie rocked it out, but it looks kinda lame in real life! sorry if that is offensive.

ITA. I don't understand the need/desire to wear anything with your name or initials on the exterior of your clothing, bag or person.

I don't like it...I don't like having my name out there for the world to read, kwim? It's like wearing a constant name tag. But, I think certain people wear it very well...it's not something that, IMO, can be worn daily, it something that only goes with certian outfits.

I associate these necklaces with kids in middle school, and my daughter had one at that age. I don't care for them, and didn't like the one Carrie wore on SATC. Actually, I didn't care for a lot of the things they had her wear on that show - seemed they were trying a little too hard to put her in offbeat type fashions. But I digress...
