What bags do you carry for travelling?

I went to NYC a couple of months ago and used my Givenchy Bettina and it was perfect because of the pocket outside. It held quick cash, my metro card, and cell phone for easy access. LOVED it!

For me, its cross body bags with zipper pockets all the way everyday, and for travelling too. My valuables stay safe on me all times. Then I carry a smooshy soft leather zipper tote (with a detachable cross body strap) for the kids stuff. If need be, I can carry both bags hands-free and carry 2 of my 3 kids as well!

Herve Chapelier and Longchamp bags of all shapes, sizes, and colors are PERFECT for travelling! The nylon Prada bags are great too. But I only exclusively bring those bags if I'm going somewhere a little "rough". For a normal trip, I bring as many bags as I want. :p

Depends on where I travel and purpose. Overall lightweight bags are most important to me because of recent airline restrictions and personal comfort. I also like bags which have striking colors so I can identify them quickly on the conveyor belt before someone steals it.

If it's for work, formal attire, city intinery, I prefer something nylon with snob appeal:
- Mandarina Duck (I think you can only get it from Europe, Japan, and Singapore) expensive but very tough fabric

If for outdoors such as mountaineering, then a high quality backpack:
- Osprey Talon series
- Gregory backpacks
- Arc'teryx Bora 65 (for snow terrains, they have watertight zippers)

If for casual sightseeing or city/country explorations, I'd just go for something nice looking and lightweight.
- Kipling Fjord or Scoot
- Kipling Las Vegas (doesn't look strong but it's really sturdy, outlived my Samsonite Oyster!)

lesportsac and longchamp are great ideas!

I took out my bags and weighed them - speedy 25 won! So it was the 25 and LV Matsy [tiny slim shoulder bag] that mostly were out and about on my 2 week sightseeing car trip. We also used a medium Longchamp and no name fold up tote as shopping bags. The speedy is a great carry all. Whatever I wanted to shove in went and it is much easier and more comfortable for me to shift hand/hand/arm/arm than shoulder/crossbody for some reason. I wasn't worried about damage as it is well patinaed and the canvas isn't damaged by crushing. The Longchamp fits inside the speedy as well.

Prada nylon ! - was made for care-free travelling IMO. Along with it I would use any large sized handbag of the moment (Hermes included). The last time I travelled half-world I used my Large Etoupe Fendi B Bag to carry literary tons of stuff that did'n fit in my luggage (I always carry A LOT of stuff). It was so overstuffed all the way but held up beautifully through all the x-ray, customs, under my seat, etc. Fendi B!

if you like brands travel with the one that doesnt have the logo too big or spreaded one...like prada for expmple and if you like LV i have one and it doesnt get scratch or anything...but it depsends on the place you are travelling too..
