LV Pochette with long strap - to put my passport/ticket/cash/pen/lipstick/gum/credit cards

I carry exactly the same bags I would carry at home. I plan my outfits, pack them, and bring along the appropriate bags to go with them. The only change I might make would be that I would want to be sure my bag for the actual plane ride was large enough to fit whatever reading material I was going to bring, and was something that fastened securely in case it gets knocked around (no open-top bags.)

I agree!!! Lesportsac is the best for travelling and depending on the size of the bag that you get it can hold a lot!

Ok I have told many people about this brand - KIPLING!!! It is an AWESOME bag for travel. They make cute small ones too for use as just a cute handbag, but I take a bigger one on vacation. Here's why I love, love, love my Kipling: It's a really sturdy nylon that I don't have to treat too gently, it has tons of organizational features, it's super light weight, and if I get it dirty I can just wipe it down with a wet cloth! Oh, and another great feature that most of the bags have... an additional longer strap so that you can carry it cross body. Try ebags - they have the best selection! I hope that helps?

I just bought Allison Burns bag for my next Florida vacation (hope it will fit my kids's stuff)

My camera takes shoddy pics, but below is what I've been using lately when I travel. I found this set at the Sanrio store in the mall. It's one of my most prized possessions, because my initials are "KT." Lucky for me, I think that's the "logo" for Sanrio's Hello Kitty products (KT = "kitty"?) and I see it on lots of their stuff. At any rate, IRL this set is a deep red color and the logos are pink. The small suitcase has a soft handle on the top as well as a hard plastic handle, and it rolls on wheels. The smaller bag is a carryon type.

However, my next luggage purchase will be this Sidney Love set (two bags in the set), which I find classy and gorgeous:

It's also an INCREDIBLE bargain as the two piece set is only like $150.00! I have the same print in a wallet, which I constantly get compliments on, and even though Sydney Love isn't hundreds of dollars, I think the Hotel line in particular is stunning and I want to collect all the bags and travel pieces in the print.

I bring my Michael Kors Astor Weekender. It holds everything I need. My music, my computer, my magazines, etc. I put a smaller purse inside of that bag. I got a Coach small messenger in Florida while I was there traveling. I think that bag will be the one I usually take with the Astor.

Another nice thing about the weekender is that the strap fits very comfortably on my shoulder.
