I don't buy to sell but right now I am consigned few bags I no longer love. It has been months....no buyer lol. The only enquiry I received was on my LV Speedy Bandouliere 30, (the girl decided not to but because I have my initial hot stamped on the strap. But my other bags, Prada, Celine, Burberry, Lancel.....no one even bother to ask! Lol.

I'm thinking of trying to sell another LV - Saumur 30 n Fendi 2Jours but dread the thought of waiting for buyers [emoji38]

I've never owned or shopped Hermes, LV or Balenciaga so I can't speak to those brands. From what I have owned / sold / shopped on the pre loved market my opinion is:

Best resale value
• Chanel
• Celine

OK resale value
• Prada
• Michael Kors (certain, more popular styles)
• Coach

Worst resale value
• Bvlgari
• Gucci
• Fendi (I still have one I can't get rid of)
• Kate Spade
• Valentino (these plummet in value. I was thrilled to unload one for a decent price after it sat on eBay for months)

That being said, I still bought several Gucci bags just because I loved them and got them half price during the sale. I figure since I will wear them a lot and I'm not putting full price into them, I won't feel bad about the price I get when I inevitably try to resell them in a few years.

Hermes and Chanels hold value, so long as they are in good condition. Quite a few buyers would look to buying excellent condition vintage items from theses two brands b/c they are made so much better decades ago. For example, a seasonal Chanel bag or a non-Kelly or Birkin Hermes bag will not hold retail value. Buy your bags to enjoy them, not for investment purposes. If you sell them through resellers, you will ultimately not gain much.
