Hi Beaux - I think it really depends on the year of the bag. I have a 2005 Work and the handles are SHORT. It fits over the shoulder but I kind of have to force it and it is super tight, and that is when I'm wearing a t-shirt! I also have 2 F/W 2007 Works and they both fit nicely over the shoulder (I think the handles were a bit longer starting last year), but I have yet to try them on over a thick coat. HTH! :heart:

I'm a big shoulder bag fan, so I totally understand where you're coming from, but let's put it this way, the Work will probably GO over your shoulder, but it might fit snug.....I'm not positive about an '06 Work though.:shrugs:

I have an '06 WE and it fits a little tight (but it isn't broken in yet, so maybe once that happens?)....

^^Yes this is what I'm wondering. I have a '07 WE (with the longer handles) and a shopping - both of which go over my shoulder with ease. I'm concerned if I purchase this '06 work I'm thinking about and the handles don't fit comfortably over my shoulder I won't end up using it.

I'm looking at a '06 Work bag, but I'm concerned about handle drop. My '07 WE goes over easily, as does my tote - I'm a medium sized person (not super skinny not too large) and my concern is: if it's tight on my shoulder I won't use it since it will annoy me. I'm wondering if I should stick to bags with longer handle drops if that's the case...

Is the work really meant to be used as a "arm bag"?

I need honest Intel!! :flowers:

Don't know if this helps... but I have an 07 s/s Anthracite work and it fits over my shoulders...and I have broad shoulders.

Beaux.. I think you and my sis are similar in size 5'4" size 3, size s, to xs in shirt sizes...(if I recall)... and she has an 06' Grenat work.. that she's able to use over her shoulders.. it's not exactly a tight fit.. but not loose either.. but her's isn't broken in yet either. I think with time and use... you'll be able to use it over the shoulders very comfortably. :yes:

^^ agree with oogie - if you have thinnish arms (which i think you do), then it should be no problem. but it's better when they are stretched out. i had an 06 rouge vif and i found it a tight fit if i had on anything but a tank top! i'm 5'8" and not too thin but not too big either - medium rather. i found it a lot tighter fit then both my 07 plomb and anthra works...
i also have a couple of 05 works and oddly enough, they both fit over the shoulder too! maybe my RV was a small one...

anyway, i think you'll be fine - not as big of a handle drop as your 2 shoppers tho!! :nuts:

you could always check out the brief - i find that size goes easily over the shoulders and holds a lot too...

As much as I would love a Work with RH, I pass everytime because the handles are tooooo tight over my shoulders. Cold zipper rubbing armpit tight. Try one on if you can - you are more slim and petite than I - it might fit you perfect!:p

I just got a Fall 2006 work and immediately noticed how short the handles were. I have pretty small arms and it's a tight fit. My bag isn't worn in yet, but I wouldn't expect it to get much more comfortable. Thankfully, I never carry bags on my shoulder so it's perfect for me!
