What B Bag fits over the shoulder???

Hi,

Am new to Balenciaga and recently purchased 2 Days that I love. I'm addicted now - of course! - and am contemplating bag #3....I'm not that into the Hobo or Courier but am intrigued by the Work.....Do you all feel the Work style is comfortably carried on the shoulder? Or is it more of a handheld, crook of the arm bag? I'm a mom with a toddler (who also works and travels for work), so occasional hand held bag is ok, but I really need something that can do shoulder time and be comfortable. Should I stick with the Days or try a Work next?

Thanks for your advice!

It's kind of confusing- I just spoke with Bill from BalNY and he said that the Work does not have longer handles but the WE does. However, it IS possible that there was a communication error because he was sending me an 06' Work in Truffle and back then the handles would have been short. So to be honest, I'm still unclear about whether or not newer Works have long handles. :confused1:The 06' Work has VERY short handles, like the City.

And to anyone wondering about the WE handles, the 08' WE are great! Lots of room, even with a puffy coat. Extremely comfortable to carry!!!

An SA at Saks told me that the 2008 Work bags will have longer handles. Is this true? Any one else hear anything?

The city handles fit comfortably over my shoulder - even over hoodies and jackets in the winter!

I'm 5'5 and i'm more of an average build. I was looking for a shoulder bag and thinking about the Day, Hobo (besace).. I was wondering if there were any more that would fit on my shoulder? I think people should measure the strap drop of their bags.

I kinda want to look into a step or a work but I'm not sure about the strap drop. Anyone wanna help out by measuring their bags? And silly question but will the strap stretch a bit with use?

The work & city handles will stretch w/ time as it "breaks in". The giant hardware part time fits nicely over the shoulders too w/o having to break it in. I have a normal / broad build ;).. I'm not small framed... lets put it that way~!

Hope that helps~!

Hey MGNDTH9, you've asked this question on two threads and now you've started another thread about it, there is no need to do all of that. It's better to just use the original thread you started, it keeps the forum tidy. TPFers have answered you each time.

Are the handles of the PT RH as roomy as the GH PT? I have a GH PT and I love how roomy the handles are... so my question is are the handles of the RH PT smaller or the same? Hope someone can help!!! TIA!

Hey ZAC~!

The answer is no, they're not as roomy as the GH PT. I have a RH PT.. and I can't get my bat wings into them comfortably.. hahah. So i'm using that bag as my "goal bag" (weight wise for the last few lbs).:shame:

I also think that the weight of the GH PT.. makes the leather sag, and break in faster = making more arm room... However, I've noticed that the Agneau leather breaks in faster... than the ol' Chevre.... making more arm room sooner... "maybe?"

heheh.. :shrugs:

Zac, I can post pics if yah want.. just let me know.. ;)
