What are your 5 essential H bags?

My current most essential 5 handbags

1) B 30 Black box GHW / my HG Bag
2) K 25 Sellier etain GHW
3) Mini Kelly Black box GHW / love her so much
4) K 28 Black return Togo GHW / everyday bag all year round
5) C 24 Black Epsom PHW


Actually my Jypsiere 28 Gold Togo PHW should actually still be on the list I also use it as an everyday bag.

At the moment, I'm consumed by H bags and Ines de la Fressange's book, "Parisian Chic". I thought I'd combine the two and ask you what are your five essential H bags? According to Ines' list, every woman should have in her wardrobe a tote, a clutch, a satchel, a ladybag, and a strawbag (we can call this toile). Looking forward to your responses. Please be as specific as you can about size, leather, color, hardware.

In keeping with the thread's original spirit, my 5 essential H bags according to Ines' classification would be:

1. Tote: I don't know that Hermes has designed a tote that I would find essential. As much as I'd like to say HAC36 (or Birkin 35), the bag is simply too heavy, for me, for daily use.
2. Clutch: A black box Medor (with no hardware preference), to my own surprise. I'm not usually a fan of such garish hardware, but I think on a bag of such petite proportions, it works delightfully.
3. Satchel: Pass. I don't find satchels practical for my lifestyle.
4. Lady Bag: Easily, a Kelly 28 in black box with gold hardware. Is there a more ladylike bag in all of existence? ("No!" the audience exclaimed in unison. )
5. Straw Bag: A Picnic Kelly, of course!

Tote: I’ll say Birkin only because I don’t have another H tote. B30 caramel chèvre.
Clutch: Kelly Cut noir Swift
Satchel: Halzan 25
Lady bag: This needs to be a top handle bag, I think (otherwise I’d probably mention a Verrou). K28 or K25 sellier, or BB Piano
Straw/toile bag: [I pass on H here in favour of a YSL tote or a casual Mark Cross shoulder bag I’ve had for years!]

Tote : probably a B30, but in the past I’ve also liked the double sens

Clutch: I have a medor 29; and I sometimes use a BB kelly longue wallet, phw (my preference is for a handheld Loewe mini puzzle; I can wear it by day with the strap, and by night, carried as a clutch or by its top handle)

Satchel/shoulder: my favorite is DH’s sac a depeches 21; but also mini Della cav; trim; evelyn sellier; or TPM
(My preference is the Loewe mini puzzle again or the Dior men’s adjustable strap saddle)

Lady bag : Kelly 25 or B25

Straw: toile K28 quadrille; B30 toile bivouac

Conclusion: I just realized I only use about a fifth of my bags. . .

LOL, I have made a concerted effort to overcome the same issue in the past year or so. It’s a LOT of work!

I think I'm all set. It would be nice to get a Constance but I already have many Chanel flaps. I know they are not the same thing, but yeah....gotta curb my spending.
