Michael Kors Well, my Lord & Taylor strike outs

Well I just talked to CS at Lord and Taylor and they told me how sorry they are about the bag being smushed and they would be happy to send me a new one, but they will have to charge my card again and then refund me the money from the original purse once they receive it back.

Are you freaking kidding me??? Why would I gamble and pay them a second time?? The box is clearly narrower than the width of a Selma! It's their fault, yet I have to tie up my money again because of their mistake??!

I told her that I will just send Michael Kors himself a picture of how his bags are being shipped out.

Just a heads-up if you return something to L&T using their pre-paid label, be prepared to wait 4-5 weeks for your refund. Their CS is the worst in all of retail and I refuse to shop at their store or website anymore!

I'm so glad you told me that! I knew that might happen! She initially didnt offer to make it right at all. She only offered me to return it. When I told her I wanted a new one, she told me that they would have to charge me again.

I asked her how would I be guaranteed that they wouldn't just send me another smushed bag and she said that she would put a note on my order.

No way am I going to let them take my money twice for over a month!

I got a call from one of the agents in Social Media at Lord and Taylor today! Teehee! If I want to keep the coffee Selma with grommets, they will refund me back another 25% which will make the handbag $160.

In addition, he offered me a 20% off coupon with no exclusions and no expiration date. And it can be used on sales items too!

I'm thinking I will keep it. What do y'all think?

Well, it depends on what works for you.
If I receive a bag with some flaws, well, if it was a really good deal (50% off or more). I am more flexible. If it is something that I could easily do myself within a week or normal use I will keep it (mind you, I am very easy on my bags).

Sometimes, there might be a minor thing that no one else would see unless I pointed it out and let them inspect, but just my knowing it is there makes it not worth it.

Saffiano leather is tricky in that dents may or may not lessen. And then you might end up adding to the dents. I found a steal on a silver saffiano DKNY tote, and it looks pretty good for $70 ($298 orig price). Thing is, the metallic bit reflects in the light. And that can highlight a tiny flaw you would miss 95% of the time. Still debating if I should return or not....

So if you will use your bag just as much as without dents and it won't bug you..I'd say go for it and keep the bag :D

Good advice, Cindy. You can still see the dents in the bag but they are not as pronounced now that the bag is not squished in the box. There is a tiny curve to the bottom side of the bag as shown in the second pic.
