Well it finally happened to me..bought a fake LV

I believe your refund should be automatic since the auction is poofed. The seller is not in very good standing now.

I just spoke to ebay on the phone and they said since the auction has already been removed by ebay, it's most likely in my favor.

The seller has not responded yet to the open case..

I guess i should take pictures and send them to caroldiva for further authentication just incase ebay asks for proof.

I am so peaved because she clearly states 7 days money back under her refund policy.

Ebay also confirmed that i can't send the bag back as it would be illegal.

I seriously hope i get my money back.

No, if EBay removed the auction, it is likely due to it being a fake. No need to pay for an authentication unless they ask for one. I mean, you can if you wish, but it is not necessary yet. My concern is the return. Did they tell you you do not have to return it, but to destroy it?
Just wait for now.

They told me i don't have to return it to the seller and i told them i have no use for a fake so ebay said i can keep it and dispose of it anyway i choose

They also removed her 2nd LV auction that was still active

I am afraid that she will be NARU'D very soon.
She bought two items with private feedbacks from China, I wonder if those were the two bags she tried to unload.
Ebay will be the one reimbursing you. I had a similar situation and the money came from Ebay not seller.
It was super stressful at the time but I got the money back.
Did Ebay mention any procedure? I remember escalating and then Ebay closed the case and gave me the money back.
The feedback is great by the way. Good for you for speaking out.:smile1:

Per ebay, they said wait for her to respond. Case will be closed Jan 4th if she doesnt respond at which point ebay will investigate further and i should have my money back by Jan 29th. They were very reassuring that i will win the case :shrug:

PS-glad you got your money back, i can relate to stress level lol

I agree. No need to spend any money on this. It is a pretty safe bet that you have already won the claim and now just have to wait for it to play out.

also do not do anything with this LV bag until your refund has been processed
and reflects on your credit card... & unless ebay is requesting you to
authenticate, wouldn't spend the money on doing this..its looking very favorable
for you at this point...

Well it happened to me as well, does anyone know how long it takes Carol Diva to respond? The item was deemed fake in the LV forum but I need that paperwork for the paypal claim I assume.

Did you file yet? Or contact seller?
Sometimes, sellers who know they sell fake take back their wares gracefully.

I filed (not escalated yet as I don't have the proof from Carol Diva) but have not heard a word from the seller. I sent Carol Diva the paypal funds yesterday and an email with additional pics and info and am waiting to hear back. I tossed and turned about it all last night, I feel like an idiot. :crybaby: :shame:

Hi Carol seems to take about 24 to 48 hours at the moment. Her husband is really ill but she will always get back to you. How long do you have to act on your situation?
