thanks everyone for your sweet comments on my black WE. it truly was love at first sight!

you should just take her out for a spin. i think you have to feel comfortable with it, even if it MIGHT look huge. but it's all about how you feel and then how you might look. but i feel fine with it, even though everyone in my family says "you're such a small girl why are you carrying such a huge bag!!!" but whatever, it's how i rock it. LOL.

this is an old thread..sorry but glad you kept it! not glad cause i'd want it..haha but you should keep it..you will regret it..
and would LOVE to still see those modelling pics you promised!

don't sell it bama, i love weekender style and yours is a 05 black!!! that's the most gorgeous black leather in the world! don't listen too much to DH when it comes to fashion, girls know better!! for men, all bags are almost the same, they don't see the point of having many bags, especially the same brand same looking bags. mine asked my why i have so many colors, they all look the same!! see? men are not good bag consultants!!! listen to your inner voice, if it tells you to keep it, keep it. i'm sure you rock your black weekender.

Did you end up posting pics somewhere Bama??? Anyway, I am just about to buy my second Weekender!!! I use the Vert D'Eau WE (see my avatar) for weekend trips away and the next one I get will be a gym bag for yoga & pilates. The Weekender looks gorgeous when lightly stuffed with a towel, drink bottle and a few other little necessities! (sp?)

Hey,

I've been wondering about the bigger bal bags used as casual everyday bags. If you have pictures or opinions to share, please do!

I'm concerned that the bags may look overwhelmingly big, considering some guy once commented on my city looking like a diaper bag! Men!!:feminist:;)

Me & my Vert D'Eau Weekender

A few fave pics I have saved: Claire Danes & her black SGH Work, Penelope & her Caramel Weekender (she uses as an everyday bag) and Charlize with her Calcaire Weekender.

Big bags are hot:supacool:

DIAPER BAG??? WHAT??? Men!! is right!

I've posted my work modeling pics all over the place within the past 24 hours, so I"m sure you've seen them.

As a work newbie, here's my take so far- I was slightly self conscious of the size when I'm out shopping. It seems a bit like overkill. I definitely got some stares- dunno if they were good or bad. :shrugs: But you know what was surprising? I wasn't digging around in it! In fact, I find myself digging around much more in my day. (keeping things organized in cosmetic pouches or the like is very helpful to minimize digging, tho)

The other issue is the handles- just not long enough (yet) to fit comfortably over my shoulder!! Definitely doesn't fit over a winter coat. But I think it looks best over the shoulder- then it doesn't seem quite so huge (to me at least). Ladies w/broken-in works, how do you carry it? Do the handles stretch out much?

Also, because the bag is larger, it's much more likly to bump or get caught- which of course gives me a mini heart attack!! It's just slightly more awkward to use. I was thinking that I will never take it grocery shopping- it's just too awkward to deal with. For clothes shopping, it's ok but the day is still best. For travel, I think it'd be great!

Just some initial thoughts- would love to hear from some devoted work and WE lovers.

that bag looks hot, and wonderfully broken in!!!
