i use mine not only for travel but for everyday use as well - even if i only have my essentials like wallet, mobile and sunnies in - i love that size

Ok, I've never owned a work or a weekender before and I want to get one, but cant get both right now. The bag needs to serve 2 purposes:
1) A carry on for travel. I usually would only have, some magazines, a book or two, makeup bag, bottle of water, wallet, cell phone travel documents etc.
2) For evening work functions. I have programs for work in the evening wher I would usally carry: a laptop, agenda, makeup bag, wallet, cell phone, some documents etc
Based on this, which do you think would be the better choice? I'm leaning towards the weekender at the moment.

Work. i can't imagine lugging a humongous weekender to after-work events. you'll have pleeenty of room for everything you've listed above....it's similar to what I carry in my Work.
I think the Work would suit your needs very well (although quite honestly I'd be too scared to put a laptop in my Work bag...even my Weekender!).

This is the only one I have, not the best but I hope you get the idea....unfortunately I'm at work and don't have both bags with me to take new pics....
I have the work, and it fits all my school, work and travel needs w/out being too bulky. It can sit on my shoulders, which is a huge relief when it gets too heavy. I haven't noticed any stretching/distortions due to the heavy load either, so it's just a great bag!
Yeah ... I have tons of Weekenders (which I do use for travel), but they can be rather cumbersome for everyday use. Because Balenciaga bags are so nice & squishy, I usually pack (in my luggage) a City or Part-Time bag ... and that's what I use for everyday use once I have reached my destination.
So ... all in all, I would agree with the rest of the folks; the Work would probably be better for you. The only thing that I worry about is ... will your Laptop be small enough or light enough to carry in there?

Ditto. Part-Time is great for everyday as well as travel. The weekender might be too big for everyday. Work might be okay dependin what line of work you're in.
I was looking at Weekenders today and wow, they really are quite huge for everyday use!
Right now I'm using my black brief but I dont know if I'm going to keep it, Im seriously considering it trading it in for a Work. Even thought the Bried if bigger, Im not super crazy about the small opening at the top.
