Using a weekender an an every day bag is somewhat tricky since it depends on the amount of items you carry on a daily basis I think. I have been scoping out Weekenders myself as I want a bag large enough to carry the following:

-Laptop Computer
-Work Files
-Book
-Magazine(s)
-Toilet Case
-iPod
-Gym clothes/shoes
-the occasional shopping purchase

I tend to carry alot of items every day, so the Weekender works well for me. However the downside is that with all the things I carry, I can imagine my arms getting tired which is why I like the Men's version since I can slide it over my shoulder if need be.

Egad - carrying that much stuff in one bag sounds like a back problem in the making! For me, the weight distribution would be a problem, but perhaps it depends more on a person's size and arm strength.

I'm also over 6ft and weigh 170lbs, so it doesn't bother me at all. I don't recommend that others should carry as much as I do, but when you leave your apt. at 7:00am in the morning and don't get back to 8pm most nights, you tend to live out of your bag.:smile1:

i've been wondering the same thing! not that i would use the weekender everyday, but i feel like a hobo carrying my usual tote bag plus a big brown paper bag to work everyday. a weekender would hold everything comfortably, i would think.

Wow... everything but the kitchen sink! Just jokin!:graucho: Anyway I pack a lot everyday too... essentials. But I remembered the SA here in Spore mentioned tt its not advisable to pack a laptop in Bbags..depending on the size of the laptop the bag might not hold. Though I was lookin at the bowling at tt time. Now the weekender... we all know how big tt bag is :wtf: !
So might not apply here.

I am afraid to carry lots of weight in my Balenciaga bag

I carried my laptop in my Work before sometime, but I stop doing that because I am afraid the weight on my laptop is too much for Balenciaga bag due to the softness of the leather. The laptop drags and stretches the leather, and it doesn't really stay still in the bag.

I use my Work as my everyday bag, and it works for me cos I tend to carry too much. Then again, it's prolly not as much as I think now that I know what Clarke lugs around everyday! :shame:

But since I'm tall (6ft), I think I could very easily use a Weekender as an everyday bag, which is prolly what I'll do when I finally land one, since I don't find that there's a huge difference between the two - alternative between my Work and Weekender, the latter especially when I hafta bring an extra change of clothes when I stay over at the bf's.

aahhh i guess if i'm under 5 feet, i should stick to a work! just kidding lol, i think a work bag would even look big on me. would love to see some people posting pics carryign work or weekender and post your height!

I have never tried/ seen a Weekender IRL... but I'm of the opinion that a bag can never be "too big" (unless you want to carry a sleeping bag or something)

Whatever the case, if you like it and its comfy and looks good... Then why not?!

i've used mine for everyday use...
sometimes i only carry my wallet, agenda, ipod, cigarettes, phones adn few small stuffs and it looks great clouches over my shoulder!
and some times i filled it in so full when i go for trips, although it's kinda hard to put it on shoulder when it's really full.
i just tote it :p

Yep, you can definitely use the Weekender as an everyday bag. I use mine for lectures on a rotational basis, and I don't usually stuff to the max because I love the slouchy look that it gets...
