everyone has made good points. that's what make balenciagas so wonderful. we all have different styles and yet we all share the same love for this brand. keep on rockin' your weekenders.

avery -- like mimi, i wasn't necessarily directing my post at you or anyone.
to be honest, i really am tired of people taking every post/comment to be about them so i will refrain from posting from now on. i will say this though -when asked, i wish people would tell people when a style doesn't suit them or when they don't like the leather or the color. i would like people to tell me both good and bad. i have quite a few friends on the board that i bounce things off of and they have saved me from making many a bad impulse purchase. similarly, i have gotten a couple messages from fellow PFers (on the bbag subforum) thanking me for giving them my honest opinion (and saving them $1K+). these were instances when everyone said how wonderful the bag was and i gave them my side of it. and they ended up not getting the bag because me or someone else told them it wasn't great. i never say it in a negative manner but when someone is unsure, i give them my opinion (if asked). if someone buys something and is clearly happy with it and i don't like it or don't think the style/size suits them , then i refrain from commenting because they are not posting for the purpose of getting my opinion but because they are excited and therefore my opinion is of no consequence and i am just glad they are happy. clearly there is a lot of turn over with these bags as evidenced on ebay. i hate seeing people buying something as a result of some peer pressure to then realize they don't like it. anyway, in the future, i will confine my opinions to PMs.

esile -- you know your daughter's first bag will have to be a bbag. i think i would save a coin purse or some other small bag for her.

I appreciate all the comments, good and bad! I feel like its our job to be honest, hell, if you cant be honest on a forum where no one can kick your butt in person... where can you be honest? dont be afraid to say your opinion chigirl!

with, but my best friend can't stand, says they make me look like a hooker (the boots are the prada platform ankle boots from fall 05 btw). I told her - well, then its a damn good thing she isnt wear them then, huh? 
I guess thats my attitude in a nutshell. 
about weekenders though- I can't wear them. I've tried them on sooo many times, because damnit I want all that leather! but it just doesnt look good on me... wish it did and kudos to those who can pull it off! I cant pull off the smallest or the biggest bags it seems. I'm medium height, medium curvy, medium brown hair... I just need medium sized bags! but if I could carry off a weekender on a daily basis, I would! I'd roll around in that leather and wrap it around myself shawl style!

In my experience, living a life of integrity can sometimes be a lonely one in that when you choose to live out of self-respect, dignity and being honest, people may attack you personally. The defensiveness can sometimes be disproportionate to one's opinion. I find it helps to remember that it's about them and not you.
