My engagement ring had enough bling, so we just fused a band to it right before the wedding. I am a physical therapist and I would be afraid to work with something like the eternity ring on.
I think it depends on your job and your daily activities.

Know EXACTLY what you mean! If I were to keep a ring on my finger all the time...it would be ruined...I am either at the computer writing html etc. or horseback riding! Both of which have a tendency to bother my hands!:D

(I do enjoy riding MUCH more than anything to do with a computer!
   )
K

I will try to get other pics of my rings...I love them...so much...and my DH!

theimporterswife, your rings are gorgeous!

Here is a pic of my channel set band. It is six stones and we had it custom made by a jeweler in Philadelphia. He did a beautiful job. It matches my engagement ring stone-width-wise perfectly. This is not a great pic, but you can get an idea of what it looks like.

Just wanted to add one thing: I (knock on wood) have had no problems whatsoever with my diamond eternity band. The diamonds go all the way around, and are channel set (although they are round stones). And, i just had a baby last year and wore my rings all the way up till I delivered with no problem because my hands never swelled. I only had to take it off for a couple of days after I had the baby. So it can workout just fine if you prefer an eternity band- go for it!

I really am in a dilemma here between the Eternity and the half-Channel... :push: Does anyone know how long would it take to tailor an E ring versus resizing a half-channel ring?

My mum just called and apparently, few of my relatives have already started the Comparison Game via telephone.... competitive kins... can't live with them, can't slap them...

I have a plain gold band(comfort band) and an eternity with 7 stones. In my eternity band i had 4 of the diamonds removed and replaced them with the kids birthstones, now its a family ring.

Very nice

I went with a 5-stone 1.25 ct prong set band:

(excuse my nail color! :shame: The photo is a few years old and even I'm offended by that nail polish! ;) )

I have a lovely 5-stone band. It's great because I can wear it daily, instead of the engagement ring if I want, and it still has the 'bling' factor :smile1: .

I wish it was daylight so I could get a better pic but you get the idea ...there is so much diamond detail on the band but I just could not get a good pic...this is my wedding ring.

I ALSO want to add...when I first got the stone I thought it was 4 carats and its actually just over 3 1/2 ...I know I posted about it not long after I got it so I wanted to clear that up! :)

My wedding band is very different, its Titanium. My husband and I got ours with custom color. We actually picked it up from Exotica Jewelry, Inc http://ringsforever.com/ . They happened to be in Arizona (I found them on the Internet). The husband & wife team makes them by hand with antique equipment. The "color" is done via electric frequency. It's very strong and it warms up to your body temp so you don't even realize you are wearing it! You can get diamonds or other stones put into the band also. I don't think big diamonds would work but small ones would.

My wedding band is a 7 stone diamond band. I lost one of the diamonds out of it yesterday at the mall. I'm dropping it off this afternoon at the jewelry store for repair. I'm so dissapointed it fell out. My hubby was just as dissapointed.

I've decided to get a half-eternity ( the ones that go halfway) in Princess cut. Thanks for all the pics and opinions! REally appreciate it! :flowers:

Allison,
That's a shame. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Sunshine,
Are those yellow diamonds paved around the center rock? It looks beautiful!
