i remember reading somewhere that the prices in italy or paris is the same. I might be wrong.

actually i might drop by paris after my italy trip... but i read the forum and gathered that there are some difficulties getting a birkin from FSH... have you bought a birkin from FSH before? was it really that difficult?

No I have not. But many tpfers have success getting a birkin in Paris. If you search through the forums, many tips on the day/s and time to go, and how to go about asking for it. Don't give up if you didn't get any on first try. There is another store on George V too.

Since you are going to Italy, you can also try your luck. There are success stories in Italy too :D

I was in Italy last month touring several places which included Venice, Florence and Milan.

I scored a Birkin at the Hermes Store in Milan. The price was 5650 Euros (tax refund is 14% net). Therefore I paid 4860 Euros after tax.

For your info the H store in Milan is currently under renovation and will be completed in October this year. The store that I went to was the temporary H store.

Did you visit other H stores in Italy? If yes, what are their stocks like for wallets, small leather goods etc.

An orange bikin 30 box fits perfectly in a samsonite cabin trolley.. ;-)

5650 euros.

About the wather, in Rome it's different from Milan and Florence, it's warmer and dryer.
November and december can be very cold in Milan and Florence. You will need a coat anyway.
You need to book the last supper but maybe there's still room now.
You can also book Michelangelo's Sistine chapel in Rome from the Vatican web site!

costa - if all fail, there is the expandable longchamp bag :greengrin: i m looking forward to the trip, just need to get the tickets confirmed. DH missed confirming last sat as he though he has up to midnight but it was actuali 6pm:(

30cm box fits very nicely in my samsonite luggage. 35cm box is bigger than the 30cm box. So I was not able to bring the 35cm box home when I bought the 35cm birkin from Tokyo.

35 birkin box fits in luggage too, i should have included that in my earlier post.
my friend carried her birkin as hand luggage and put the 35 birkin box in the checked luggage.
