Weather and Shopping in Italy

No one is asking you to lug the big orange box around... ditch the box and just carry the bag!
actually I'm going up to Rome and Florence in a couple of weeks, just ahead of robee. The supposedly cunning plan is (or was) that we compile a shopping list (ding ding ding! Danger alarm!!). What Jadeite cannot find (or cannot afford), robee will continue as "round 2" of The Mission.
except I've half a mind to cut up my credit cards before going to italy to avoid overspending....
and i'm not a seasoned traveller like robee, have no idea how to lug orange boxes around, or rather, am paranoid that orange boxes will get lost along the way.
with Last Supper, if all fails, you can always contact them to see if there were any cancellations.
Agree with DiamondS, the SA from Hermes shop in Rome are quite friendly. ie: went there with my mother once and we both dressed very casual due to the hot weather (i actually carried a non H backpack into the shop). The SA was friendly and patient while we were looking at scarves even though the shop was quite crowded.
regarding the Big Orange Box:
i went travelling with a friend before and she managed to get a birkin from H. What we did was, we put her clothes in the box and put some clothes around the box (even top and bottom). She managed to travel back home in a 10+ hours flight plus connecting flight without harm done to the orange box.
if you are planning to keep the big orange box, make sure to bring a luggage that is big enough to store it and it should be fine.

or when Jadeite runs out of money , she'll take a pic of her Last Supper in Italy. Sell it to robee for xxx euros. Jadeite has money for food, robee gets to see Last Supper (albeit modern version). All are happy.

The spending in Singapore H stores has not stop for me! feeling poor
thanks robee... the closes I found on the link provided is Euro 5650 and its in paris. Do you think its the same price across europe? Or Italy might be different. I'm visiting Italy in Nov.. Hopefully I can buy a birkin there..
