Wow. Why isn't this a sticky yet? I wish we had a reputation system like other forums. Nat you'd be at +1 million by now!

Awww...PyAri...that is so sweet. I am happy to help my TPF family and I adore you all. Thank you for the appreciation. That's good enough for me.:hugs:

Hi mp4-I've personally never used the Apple Guard products. However, my best friend Julie (julies*shoes) who is a Louboutin VeRo member for Ebay, used it and it discolored a pair of her Roccia python shoes. (You can read back in this thread for her take on it).

I've only ever used the Meltonian on skins. So, for me to comment on other products would be out of turn and inappropriate. I only know that I have used the Meltonian on stark white Opaco python and it not only didn't change the color one bit, but it kept them stark white and waterproof. A bride to be just bought the shoes from me and couldn't believe how perfect they were and how perfect they stayed at the end of her wedding. I was thrilled.

So, in the long way around, I can only recommend what I know and have used and would never be so bold to recommend something that I, personally, haven't risked my own collection to.:smile1:

Thanks Nat! I appreciate your honesty. Your experience is hard to beat. I will order the meltonian for my exotics.

So I lined up all my exotics last night ranging from Eel to Watersnake to Python and gave them the Meltonian treatment. I can safely say that Nat and others are absolutely correct; the colour darks when first sprayed but returns to normal within 2 minutes. I will try to take pictures of during/after tonight when I finish the second round of spraying.

Nat -- Thank you so much for the super-useful info. I've been wondering how to take care of my slowly growing exotics collection and suede so I don't worry so much while wearing them.

I just ordered 5 cans! (I like to stock up! But for $25, not bad.)

Has anyone kept a count of how many cans were bought??

Jenay????? My agent???? Am I getting royalties?

Seriously, I'm just happy that I could provide something valuable to this Forum other than pictures of shoes and bags I've bought and maybe, just maybe, make it more comfortable for some people to wear their exotics like I do mine...Everyday.:woohoo:

Oh Nat...I meant to ask....

You said to brush the exotics with a soft brush and you even posted a link of what you're talking about, but could you use a brush that's used for applying mineral powder or blush on your face, or do you think the bristles will be too soft to remove any dirt?

Cheque's in the mail.

:p

As promised, I wanted to share some photos. For anyone who has reservations about trusting in Nat's expertise, please don't.

I chose to spray a group of my exotic ADs. I feel that with all the different skins shown here, everyone should be able to identify with at least one shoe.

From left to right, back to front:

Jade Watersnake, Roccia Watersnake
Mimosa Python, Burgundy Eel

First, I sprayed the Mimosa Python. Note the left shoe has been sprayed, the right has not. The left shoe did become darker when sprayed; however, it dried in less than 30 seconds and again matched the right.

Next, I sprayed the left Eel shoe. Note that it is shinier than the right, but again dried to match its counterpart in less than 30 seconds.

I did the left Jade Watersnake next. The colour difference when sprayed was by far the most dramatic on this shoe, but it dried to match the right shoe within 30 seconds just like the first two.

Finally, I sprayed the left Roccia Watersnake. It did darken, and the white lines became more of a brown, strangely enough; however, again in less than half a minute it returned to the same colour as the right shoe.

Again, for anyone worried about colour change or damage, don't be! I hope this has helped someone! ;)

jenay-thank you for such great pics. What a great array of exotics to show how well it works with all of them.

I took a big risk putting this out there because if it ruined someone's shoes, I would have felt aweful. But, I've sprayed so many that I felt that the risk was so minimal that it outwayed ruining our shoes by not treating them. And it was a product that I knew that I could stand behind because I had used it on my most expensive exotic bags.

Good for you. Show off.:p:hugs:

Thanks so much for posting jenay! I trusted nat and ordered two sprays right away. But now seeing that you've done it first puts my mind at ease! I love this forum~

Thanks doll, I was hoping to capture an exotic for everyone. Unfortunately, no Croc or Lizzie here! :p

Honestly, I'm not sure how I could have ever doubted you but I really hope those pics, despite their low quality, will help put others' minds at ease as well!

Nat would definitely not steer you wrong!
