Well, to comment on the original post, it sounds as if that family needs to call in a plumber! I have only heard of not flushing feminine hygiene products, but not toilet paper.
For those of you who have traveled to South Korea, I have to say, you must have thighs of steel -- those "squatters" for toilets are pretty rough, and you have to have great aim!
