Chase intervened on OP behalf and made the decisison to put the money back..

that is why I think PP needs to duke it out with Chase...

I agree. PP is trying to use limiting her account as a way to coerce her into taking back the Chase chargeback. They are using what they think is punishment action to force her hand. Why would she need to respond to them at all? It's between Chase and PP now. She gave all the info to Chase and she doesn't need to have any more contact with PP. And in fact, it is probably best that she doesn't. Who knows how anything she says could be used by PP?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in my mind, this is the equivalent of a lawsuit when the lawyer for the defendant tries to communicate directly with the plaintiff rather than through her lawyer.

At the best, her communications with PP could have no effect at this point. At worst, and most probably, it could be detrimental to her. She should only communicate with Chase.

Kristie,

I'd call them, remind them to re-read your messages in which you attempted to prove that the buyer's claims were fraudulent and that you had documentation of proof of authenticity.

Tell them that THEIR negligence and disregard for your side of the story forced you to exercise the only alternative available to you and to seek redress from your own bank.

Let them know there's nothing to discuss any further since they authorized the buyer to "destroy" your authentic bag and you refuse to be out the money and the bag.

PERIOD - End of story.

I agree with this.

Well folks, as of today my Paypal account is once again..........$11K NEGATIVE.

Paypal decided that since Chase gave me my rightful money back then THEY would just make my account $11K negative because we KNOW PP won't take blame for anything and they refuse to lose 1 cent!

They will send the account to collections.........oh boy. Here we go........calling Chase now.

Oh dear, I am so very sorry....

OMG! PP is ridiculous!!!

You can successfully fight the credit report. Get Chase involved and it will be taken off of your credit. As for collections, I would welcome the opportunity to tell PP off every time they called.

Fabulous. Chase can do nothing at this point. They said they already did their part and gave me my money back for the transaction.

They said if PP tries to have collections actually go into my checking account and take the money, I can dispute that with them because it would be an unauthorized transaction. They have sent me a letter I can supply to the collection agency to show the transaction was unauthorized/never received my merchandise back.

*sigh*

ok...a *sigh* of relief...

I am really not too concerned about my perfect credit being messed up. I know I will be able to dispute that on my credit report with a little bit of legwork.

I am more concerned about the 9,789,987,067 phone calls I will receive from collections. I have read online that PP collections agencies call up to 15-20 times per day if your PP account is over $1K negative.

I think if you flat out tell them you're not going to give them the money and use the calls as an opportunity to yell at them, they stop calling. They call a lot if you don't pick up the calls.

Also, you can report them for harassment.

I wonder how long it takes before they start calling?
Even though I removed all of my accounts from PP, from what I researched online, I need to actually CLOSE all those CC accounts and get new C numbers so PP cannot charge my CC's that I did have on file with them. Just because I "deleted" them off of PP does not mean they did not keep the info.
