*Waitlist in Paris*

Mia , when I went to Paris on sep 2009, I was allowed to place a Po without purchase anything. but now it is different

Hmmm...what should I say. It is so NOT true that you need to buy like xxxx amount of goodies before FSH SA lets you see or buy or order a birkin/kelly. Nope it doesn't work that way there. Maybe in Asia or USA yes. I hear terrible stories about that a lot in Asia and USA. But not in France.

In Sept 2009, I only bought a few scarves. But I managed to order 3 special orders of birkins at the same time. I was a walk-in, never been to FSH in my whole life. It was like a market there. LOL!

Really...it depends on the SA you meet that day. It is by pure luck. If the SA likes you, you're in luck. If he/she doesn't like you, then that's it. You will always get a "no" for an answer. It is the chemistry. Sometimes you get a no, sometimes you get a friendly smile, sometimes you meet a chatty SA, sometimes you meet a snobbish SA. Oh well, that is the "fun" of it.

I would say, the correct strategy is, don't stress out too much about birkin/kelly. It is just a bag. Sometimes, good things happen when you least expect it. Good luck to everyone!

When they say the list is open at "end of September", how "end" the end is??
like the last week of the month?
or the last couple of days of the month?
anyone have any idea ??

btw, just another beginner question... is there a difference between "waitlist" and "orderlist"

like ... is waitlist just to "wait" for something that become availble?
and orderlist is you can actually decide what leather, color, size, hardware??

cuz.... today, my bf went again, and finally the SA slip out "the waiting list is not open yet, but will be soon.. come in in another couples of days..."

which occurs to me.. was it just for "wait" or i can actually order one ?

and another mean chinease speaking SA added " even u are on the wait list, we cannot gurantee you a bag" >> then whats the pt of being on the waitlist ???

sorry ladies for so many questions, but recently i been dying to get one B, as i promised to get one for my mum since ages...

No I didn't visit Munich unfortunately...

I am in Prague now. Their H store has a Kelly in wicker but I'm not interested. I didn't think it'd be that hard to buy a normal Kelly bag...sigh...

Oh...I really wanted one and live in a country "next door"...bummer!
It would be fun to "pool" and then everyone gets what they want from the pool.

I agree. Things have changed a lot since Sept 2009. For one, because of tPF, everyone goes to Paris in September more than any other month just because it's always stated here that that's when the PO list opens.

one of Hermes SA in FSH tell me if they mass produce birkin, the brand will be collapse long time ago, it is a marketing strategy , i have emailed hermes to place order for a lindy and birkin , they said ok if i have a local friend to do that , yes i have, when my friend arrive , they only allow to place order for lindy, they do not keep a word on their mouth, for those tpfer spend thousand dollar on hermes and don't you get the service you expect, may be quit be a better idea, use the money to do charity instead pay and get mock

Yes, it usually opens for a while, until all the bags available for AW has been allocated.

i would suggest you accept any color they offer, once you on the list ,you have the chance to swith to the color you want, my experience i got a po offer of orange 35 , but really not my cup of tea, after back to hk , i email hermes and ask would it be possible to swith to the black, the answer is yes ha ha good luck
