Was in Paris the whole of last week. Can you believe it? I went to all 3 stores twice a day for the entire week and stocks were almost zero. No birkin, kelly, garden party, lindy, picotin, toolbox - nothing! The reply was always try tommorrow afternoon - we did not get a delivery today eventhough I asked different SAs each time I went into the stores..

The stock is usually came in Sept. I was there last yr in early Oct, plenty of Kelly available. Too bad I got no budget:(

I went to 24 FSH twice on a Wed. 1st when they opened the 2nd around 2:30, I made it a point to look for the same SA who would tell me, "none available, but come back tomorrow around 3pm". I went there the next day around 2:30ish and it was like Christmas! Birkins & Kelly bags being shown. The SA who helped us the day before was busy so we asked another if there were any Birkins. Her response was, "No we don't have any in stock" didn't even bother to look in the computer or even pretend she was checking stock. We asked what all the other customers were looking at she said, "they are trying out the sizes". At that point we realized she didn't want to help us so we asked another SA. His response, "I will go to the back & check". He comes back saying as if it were top secret there was 1 birkin in stock which he could only show me in private. I truly lucked out cause it was the one I wanted.
You will find your bag at 24 FSH you just have to be there around the time of delivery, be persistent and make sure you find a helpful SA.

Fermie, do you still remember the name of that nice SA who got you the lovely bag? I'll be visiting France later this month and would really want to get a Birkin and/or a Kelly!!

I've heard a lot of people saying you need to spend a lot of money in Hermes stores to get what you really want,I spoke to an SA in Amsterdam and he said it was against the law and people were loosing their jobs because of this practice,too right.

You can buy up to 40000 euros and they can still hold it against you with one other things eg. you must purchase their jewelry or watches in order to buy your K

if it s true , most sa in hermes FSH would loss job , ha ha

Hmmm...what should I say. It is so NOT true that you need to buy like xxxx amount of goodies before FSH SA lets you see or buy or order a birkin/kelly. Nope it doesn't work that way there. Maybe in Asia or USA yes. I hear terrible stories about that a lot in Asia and USA. But not in France.

In Sept 2009, I only bought a few scarves. But I managed to order 3 special orders of birkins at the same time. I was a walk-in, never been to FSH in my whole life. It was like a market there. LOL!

Really...it depends on the SA you meet that day. It is by pure luck. If the SA likes you, you're in luck. If he/she doesn't like you, then that's it. You will always get a "no" for an answer. It is the chemistry. Sometimes you get a no, sometimes you get a friendly smile, sometimes you meet a chatty SA, sometimes you meet a snobbish SA. Oh well, that is the "fun" of it. ;)

I would say, the correct strategy is, don't stress out too much about birkin/kelly. It is just a bag. Sometimes, good things happen when you least expect it. ;) Good luck to everyone!

Or anyone else for that matter, do you have any SAs from Hermes Paris to recommend?
