The color is different from what I pictured. It is one of those colors that is hard to describe - oat? tan with hint of yellow? tan with a hint of green? It changes, but it is a nice color. It is extremely lightweight like all VH bags. The size is perfect. The magnet closure is STRONG! which is a good thing. I like the way the straps are attached inside the bag. It is different and edgy. It has a tiny bit of chemical smell, that I expect to be gone shortly. It is not an unpleasant smell at all.

The wide strap is great and can be worn on the shoulder or pulled out and worn crossbody. The original VH bags with the tiny round straps were not heavy enough to be uncomfortable, but the wide strap is so much nicer.

The inside is great with the zip pocket and the two slip pockets. With an open tote I have no need for an outside pocket. The phone fits fine in one of the slip pockets and is easily accessible. I would say VH has a winner here. I love my leather bags, but there is always a spot for a great looking bag that is eco-friendly, chic and no maintenance at all. This is going to be one of my favorite every day bags.

A few minutes ago i looked at my VH shopper and it had this long blue ink mark on it. My heart did a little flutter for a couple of seconds until I remembered it is not leather. A few scrubs with the scrubber side of a wet dish sponge and it was gone. This reinforces my rule of never buying an expensive handbag in a light color. I am just too clumsy. I have no clue how it got on there.

Update on my VH medium shopper. I love everything about it except for the handles. The way they are attached they are always in the way and have to be shuffled around to get what you want. I don't wear it cross body, so I don't know if it is better using it with only one strap. It is still one of my favorites and I use it all the time and that is the only thing that bothers me.

And I have to confess that when I got it one of the things I thought was so cool was the way the straps were attached, lol. Esthetically they look great. Practically they get in the way.

I took mine out today and that didn't register. I'll have to pay closer attention next time.

Gosh that is the truth. That thing will suck a metal can of Altoids right out of your hand, lol. Did you see the movie Pretty Woman? I watched it again last week and when Richard Gere snapped that jewelry box closed in Julia Roberts face, my first thought was the Von Holzhausen! BTW that was not in the script and that is why she laughed so hard.

I don’t remember that scene!

I got a facial today and the esthetician commented on it and said she’s amazed at how vegan bags have improved, but she is skeptical of how long they last. I told her I’ll let her know.

It would seem to me that they would last well because they are not susceptible to light, heat, water, etc. I did not realize how much dirt gets on a bag until I got this light one. I am always finding makeup or something around the top, lol.
