My shopper is probably the oldest on this thread (over 2 years now) - I wear it in rain and snow, stuff it with laptop and things, actually put it on the floor of trains/planes etc and it still looks great! There is a very minor scuffing of the bottom corners but you have to squint real hard to it see it. The bag definitely also slouched with age, but when filled up it's back to its upright self. Obviously, 2 years is nothing compared to what a truly good leather bag can withstand, but it's a pretty good start!
Stone/Taupes are tricky since they change under lighting. The pictures were taken under a more yellowy light but I think overall it's a warmer grey. There's a few more reviews with the Handheld in stone as well in earlier posts. Hope that helps!
