I’ve just finished restoring this Sac Passy from the 1970s. She arrived with me in quite a state and I’ve thkroughly enjoyed bringing her back to life. She’s a true piece of LV history

Wow! What a lovely bag - and an amazing rehabilitation on your part! Do you have any “before” pictures? Would love to hear more details of your accomplishment! Congratulations and enjoy! [emoji173]️

Beautiful and classic!! Like something you could find today for three times the price, I'm sure!!

Thank you ladies! Stupidly I didn’t take any before photos but I’ve zoomed in on the photos from the original sales advert to give you some idea. They don’t show anything like the full damage as they were cleverly taken to hide the condition but you can get a general impression. Most of the colour was missing from the central leather strip, there was colour missing in patches along all the trim, particularly on the corners and each side near the strap, and one side of the strap was badly split. The leather was dry and crispy.

Wow, beautiful! Who did the restoration? They did such a great job. I have a vintage piece that might need some in the near future. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I wonder if the 40's are more susceptible to canvas cracking if the bag is heavy? Does it sag on the side since the handles are in the middle of the bag and there is no other support for the bag? I hope that makes sense.

Well, my 29 year Vintage Speedy 40 has no cracks nor does my 21 year old Speedy 40. I use a felt organizer and a base shaper, so it doesn’t sag and the felt organizer provides structure.
