Sorry, Stephanieg218, I was so excited to receive her and to start working on her that I totally forgot to take “before” photos. She was in pretty decent condition on arrival so all I did was condition the vachetta (it was really really dry), wipe down the canvas, and polish the hardware. I cleaned some minor staining on the leather and then reconditioned. She also had a really musty smell so I cleaned the interior with baby wipes then let her sit with some dryer sheets.
And yes, I did buy from one of the Japanese sellers on eBay. Now I’m trolling for the full size Noe

Im not sure if its cowhide or pig skin just getting the info from the seller. But still love how it looks! And definitely the quality of materials.
I took the plunge and just got a vintage bag from one of the Japanese eBay sellers. How long did it take to lose the musty/been sitting in storage smell? From an experience, they usually seem to dissipate with daily use. And it didn't really bother me to continue using it while there was a smell.
