I think smaller bag won't be too bad. For big bag like large Rogue, the weight of itself combine with off set strap really make the bag body a little twisted.Aw, that's too bad. I hate when they do the strap hooks like that. They do that on the Lady Dior, which is like 5 or 6 thousand dollars! I guess it only works with skinnier straps? My mini Prestons have the strap hooks like that but they don't hang badly. I was thinking about substituting a thicker strap, like the one from my Marleigh, but I guess I won't.
Thank you for mentioning this. You may have just saved me a couple hundred dollars in the future. I love how they look and I have wanted one for a while but those straps always kinda bothered me. And that really long zipper. What is the purpose of that, do you know?I think smaller bag won't be too bad. I have a couple things from Saddleback Leather. They are great quality. The women's line from Saddleback has moved over to the Love41 site: https://love41.comNot that I need more bags... but have you guys ever found any brands, lesser or well known, that are similar to the vintage coach leather? I stumbled on JW Hulme and went all heart eyes on their Phoebe satchel but haven’t seen or felt it in person. The leather seems like it might be similar? Was curious if any of you ever went on this type of quest and found any...
Lol .Maybe a big wide opening make it easier to fetch the bag contents? The kisslock pouch inside is a good selling feature. If you really like it and can find one at reasonable price, I would say give it a try, the problem only with cross body strap. Can always resell it if it doesn't work for you .Thank you for mentioning this. You may have just saved me a couple hundred dollars in the future. Sorry, I mean the several inches of zipper that hangs off each end of the bag. I wonder what purpose that serves.Lol .Maybe a big wide opening make it easier to fetch the bag contents? The kisslock pouch inside is a good selling feature.
Ah, actually I think that makes the silhouette of bag more interesting other than just a square box.Sorry, I mean the several of inches of zipper that hangs off each end of the bag. I wonder what purpose that serves.
The story writed by saddleback owner Dave about the beginning of saddleback and his dog Blue is amazing, it can be find at the saddleback leather main website. Under "about us" and choose " the story" from drop down menu. The good thing about saddleback is the quality leather they use, the bags most likely will outlast their owner, but they need to improve the consistency of craftsmanship, in the past I had to return a defective bag. Alrough return process is easy but cost the business money which is unnecessary.I have a couple things from Saddleback Leather. They are great quality. I found the purse organizer from Amazon useful, each one hold 8 purses and keep them protected. I have 2 organizer for 16 most frequently used bags. (Small to medium, large ones won't fit into the organizer holders, (so they hang on coat tree or door knobs like yours. ). Most of the rest bags were stuffed with tissue or plastic air pockets inside, dust bags outside, then lay flat inside a cardboard box, with holes punched on boxes for air flow, I live in dry climate so moisture is not an issue. Then boxes are stacked on top of closet shelf.I love your storage system! My bags are hanging all over the place. My treadmill, pub chairs, desk chairs, door knobs, they're lined up on my wine bar, gently stuffed in my (new uninstalled) bathroom vanity, hanging from my hutch drawer handles....it's crazy. But as soon as I sell them off I'm going to organize the keepers kinda like yours.
Glad to hear you love it! The Manor is one of my favorites. I like divided bags because I hate having to root around for my keys, so they go with the wristlet in one side while everything else goes in the other side.Finishing my Manor bag carry. I have to say I love it. I honestly bought it because someone here raved about hers and I wanted a rehab project. I am usually not a fan of divided bags, but the Manor is nicely split so that my wallet didn’t bulge from its side to steal from the other side. Plenty of extra room to put in an 8oz water and a mini umbrella when needed.
I started carrying it as a hand bag and thought it has a handle, I don’t think it was intended for use. It wasn’t stiffened and it’s a little wide for my hand, also it made the bag feel heavy to carry. So I started using the strap and that is when I went from like to love. Because mine is very thick nice leather, it still can get heavy on the shoulder, but cross body is an option.
I also adored the mahogany color mine came in. It skews a bit burgundy and went well with everything I wore during its carry. My Manor bag will be staying for future use.
Now I have to go pick February’s bag.
Funny, I hate dividers because I don’t like having to root around trying to recall which side I stuck something inGlad to hear you love it! The Manor is one of my favorites. Funny the leather closure of courier always remind me the hanging out tongue of a happy dog. Beautiful fish fob, tooToday is the first day the sun has come out in several weeks so I couldn't resist a sunny photo shoot with my Precious.View attachment 4655624
