I don't have the swatches, but this 1994 catalog photo lists Soho colors Black, Bottle Green, British Tan, Butterscotch, Chambray, Mahogany, Navy, Ocean, Stone and White. Not all styles were available in all colors.

From your post on the Authentication thread, I checked the eBay listing. Your 1994 Waverly might be Navy, slightly faded. Is this a pretty good shot of the actual color?

The other blue choices were Ocean (looks pale greenish-blue in the catalog pic above) and Chambray (no known examples, could be a lighter blue).

The creed shown looks like it was pretty faded already. I've had "creed fade" happen on both Lightweights and Classic bags after dunking, so I'm learning to be more cautious, and accept it if it happens. I don't think there's any way to fix it. I know it's disappointing...sorry it happened! Nevertheless, it looks like you got a gorgeous bag!
Yes, the color in the listing is true. It's absolutely a gorgeous color, just trying to properly label it in my stash. I would go with light navy or 'cadet blue', which is more of a muted navy blue:

I've seen what I would call light denim/Chambray Waverly bags, it's definitely darker than that. It is a truly lovely bag. Too bad about the creed. Live and learn.

My daughter bought this bag on Poshmark, she finally brought it over for me to rehab. ( I had it authenticated here)
She only paid $28.00 and it’s extremely clean. A couple corners have wear, over all very good. I love it and she is thrilled!

I found the same bag, same color and condition on Mercari for just a little bit more. It was a nice recondition Rehab. Just recently sold it to a friend, he was thrilled to have a vintage bag in great shape. Enjoy the rehab!

I couldn't find your post with this red, white and blue bag's measurements, but it looks like it could be similar to the 9205, Saddle Bag Small, listed on this 1978 price sheet.

A brown 9205 was authenticated and ID'd by @whateve here:

Coach did a special collection in 2016 for Barney's New York using stripes sewn onto flaps of vintage bags:

Side note, thanks for posting the 1978 price list. I was looking for it and couldn’t find it!

Hello, all.
Two things:

1. Does anyone have a photo of the Soho swatches from 1994 and 1996? I just won a blue Waverly bag and it looks exactly like the cover of this 1996 catalog, however the serial was C4C-4133, so 1994.

View attachment 4463371

2. I'm sort of heartbroken, because, although it is in great condition, I wanted to start fresh with a quick bath and rinse. I didn't even soak it. I just washed, rinsed it and put it in a bucket for a water and a dash of vinegar soak for around 2 minutes while I rinsed out the sudsy sink, because it was so nice beforehand. Then, pressed all areas with towels to get the bulk of the water off before I stuffed her.
Well, I seemed to have ruined the creed and serial numbers. The creed is legible, the serial is gone. Is this a Soho leather common problem? I am so sad. I mean, I had it authenticated, so I know it's legitimate but I also like having all the info intact.

So, if you help me get a name to this beautiful blue Soho leather, thank you.
And if you have any advice about the creed/serial, or just want to commiserate, thanks for that as well.

Just a suggestion - while it's still fresh in your mind, make a note of the serial number and tuck it deep into the inside pocket. You may remember it today but a few years down the road that memory could have faded.

I'm leaning toward Chambray, Navy was too dark, although links to the original selling site or your authentication thread would be a big help. You can't ever expect colors on a computer, a phone, or even in a Coach catalog to be accurate and be the same as what the human eye is seeing. And even our eyes can be misled by the lighting.

Chambray, from the early 1994 catalog:

Yes. I would also say chambray based on this photo. Thank you! And don’t worry I have a whole excel spreadsheet with the everything from the day I bought the bag, where I bought them, the serial numbers and model numbers etc. There is no way I’d remember all that info!
But I like the suggestion of talking it into a pocket of the bag. Because even if I have the spreadsheet if one day one of my daughters is trying to figure it out it would be helpful to have it on the bag itself. I’ll do that.

Hey everyone! =)
Think I’m going to get this USB with vintage Coach catalogs.
Just wanted to post here first.

1.
Has anyone tried this item?

2.
I’m assuming this type of resource doesn’t exist online for free?

I don’t think that it does, but wanted to check before I purchase the USB.
I realize that there are lots of vintage Coach catalog images on Pinterest and Google Images, but the images aren’t organized by catalog. (The images also often don't have the the style names or numbers of the bags that are shown.)
When looking for something specific, it can be difficult to find.
I’m thinking that the USB would be much better.

I believe that long ago one of our very talented rehabbers was also selling this on Ebay, I have not visited the thread that much lately so I am not sure if she is still active.

I collect the catalogs, I have about 30 from 1985 to 2010, and let me tell you that "if" there was some type of whatever source to search by name, style number.. something that would speed the process, I would pay good money for it, LOL

Having to go through pages and pages, or folders and folders is very time consuming, reason why I can not thank enough the authenticators on this forum, because they are so fast and helpful.

I've seen this but haven't bought one. It looks like it would be great to have. I would ask the seller how the files are organized and named on the flash drive. Do the file names include the style numbers and year for each image?

Good point! Thanks for the suggestion. Sending the seller a message now, to ask that.
Will post an update here (assuming I get a reply with the info).

I have this, and it's a great resource. Definitely better than searching Pinterest and Google. There are a few gaps, but overall, it's very helpful. And not sure if it's a positive or a negative, but it will definitely cause your wish list to grow!

I've seen this but haven't bought one. It looks like it would be great to have. I would ask the seller how the files are organized and named on the flash drive. Do the file names include the style numbers and year for each image?

It's very basic, organized by each issue included, in the same order noted in the eBay listing. Simply scans of each page of the catalog. It can be a bit time consuming, to guess which catalog a specific bag might be in, but probably a bit faster than digging through actual catalogs.

Hope this helps!

Even if they're just organized by catalog (i.e. all the images for each catalog are in an individual folder), think I might get this item.
Style names and numbers in the file names would be super awesome!

I figure that if I'm looking for a style, as long as I have an idea of approx. what years that the style was available (based on production dates shown in creeds), I can just use Finder to quickly cycle through the images for each catalog where the item might appear.

That'd probably beat what I'm doing now, which is searching online for style name or number, and if nothing turns up, looking through general vintage catalog images until I see what I'm looking for or stop looking.

Cool, thanks!!
And hahaa yes, I'm a bit weary of the wishlist factor!

Purchased the USB with catalogs.
Thinking that this will be a quality of life improvement. If so:

I’ve lived in Texas all my life, and after 36 years I’m moving to Idaho Falls next month. We’re moving to be closer to family that lives up there and to be near the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. I loathe the heat and humidity that’s a constant for much of the year here, and am really looking forward to colder weather!

How did your move go? My husband and I moved after 8+ years in Virginia back to Wisconsin a couple years ago. We've got some fun extremes here too, like last winter with the -20 temps and -40 degree windchills for a few days!
