I'm glad you're going to keep it. Tabac is one of the vintage colors that has grown on me.

If you're planning to rehab it, I think you'll be pleased with the transformation. Here's one I rehabbed:

Yours looks great! I plan to rehab it, it is pretty limp and really scratched up as is. The serial numbers match up, they must have used magic lighting or altered the pics to make it look BT. I debated on returning, but with all the thrifts near me gone, this was the cheapest I could find a courier except for one on Posh which was navy (a color I like until I try to match it to my wardrobe) and whose seller didn’t respond to questions. It is going to be my last project for awhile other than the bags I already have in progress.

I think my eBay seller sent me the wrong bag...I won the regular courier in what was pictured to be BT (see listing pics)

But what turned up scarily crammed in this small box

Seems to my inexpert eye to be the small courier in tabac????

I am actually ok with the size and the bag as a whole, really just looking for help with her offiical color name and if she is the small (which is what I wanted anyway).

In addition to checking the serial number, I would be inclined to compare things like scratches & wear in the listing to the bag received like those which can be seen in the photos you posted. Lighting can vary so much. Even when I take my own photos, I am surprised how different things can look from the real thing or under different circumstances.

I agree that yours looks like a large tabac. I love tabac.

Good luck with your rehab!

ETA: I have a pre-creed Chunky Shoulder bag that is 9.5 x 9.5 x 5 that precedes the Courier. I cannot currently find the info/photos that support this though.

Hehehe! It was earlier this month! It's the same color as the one I'm currently carrying in bright red. Madison did have a darker Red though. Garnet I think?
I don't know which one I want! If I don't like it, I would never get my money back if I bought that one. I think I'd rather not have a brand new vintage bag. Too much pressure to keep it pristine. I can't bring myself to use my new vintage accessories. I just admire them.

I feel no pressure when I carry these! Remember what the Creed patch says on these? "Specially treated to retain it's appearance over time"? It's true. I never have to do any maintenance.

I had a black Sutton a long time ago. It was missing the strap so I never got the full experience of carrying the bag. I think at this moment, I'm more drawn to a Sutton than a Biltmore, but I've tried the Biltmore with a strap. I sold mine. I liked it but never reached for it. I don't know why exactly. That's why I'm hesitant.

Yes, although I don’t have a catalog pic handy. And I saw the tiny Madison satchel recently in a consignment shop in Garnet. Much deeper, a blue red, as compared to that candy apple red bag you posted. Sweet! I would love to to score a Madison. I did see a completely, and I mean completely trashed Mandarin satchel at a GW for like 10 bucks over 10 years ago.

I guess there's only one way to find out. I have a cream one with strap for sale that you could try but I'm afraid you won't reach for it due to the color! Lol! It has wear on the pipings. Can you recall if anyone had tried to rehab the pipings on these?

Was it the Gracie that you saw? I think these last a really long time as long they aren't abused. I'd love a Mandarin Sutton. I don't think I have ever seen a Sutton in that color. [emoji848]
