Thanks, E!

I believe my Manor is Taupe. The mod shot I posted might be a better representation of the color.

From what I can find, I believe the Manor Bag comes in: Navy, Black, British Tan, Mahogany, Red, Bottle Green, Taupe, Bone.

Looking forward to seeing future reveals, E & MB!

I'm not sure I've ever seen a taupe bag. It's hard to tell from pictures, how would you describe the difference between taupe and mahogany? Now I'm not even sure what color my bag is, ha ha! I'll have to go find those posts with the color comparisons now. Thank you for the list of colors, I was wondering about that. I'd like to find a red one in good condition someday.

I'm not sure if this answers or helps. I found this hangtag photo from a previous forum thread. For the classic colors, taupe really just looks like a less dark/intense version of mahogany. Maybe someone else can share comparison photos.

I agree with you TBO, your Manor Bag looks like Taupe to me.

Which COACH bag are you carrying today?

Here's a comparison of a Devon (from 1996) that I believe is Taupe and a 1997 Mahogany Court Bag.

Thank you for the color info TBO! I loooove the taupe color of your Manor, so I'm definitely going to be trying to hunt down one of my own now lol.

My Crosby bag should be here Monday or Tuesday and I can't wait! I'm hoping she doesn't need much more than a good dunk, re-shaping, and conditioning since that's all I have experience with so far when it comes to rehabbing.

You’re welcome, E! Best of luck with your Crosby! Sending good, easy rehab wishes your way! ;)

Saturday Satchel photo. Photo of my Sonoma Satchel Natural Grain No. 4921 in black (left) and Gramercy North/South Satchel No. 7004 in black (right). Both were authenticated in the AT thread & I sincerely am thankful for the help. I think I I'm going to need to dunk both as the lining is dirty. I have attached the catalog photos I've saved for each and I was wondering - do ya'll think they stuff the purses for the catalog photos? The reason I'm wondering is because both purses when empty, sink a little and don't stand up completely on their own. I understand it could be do to age and storage, but I'm wondering if they originally when new would have had more structure on their own (my photos have them stuffed with the shipping tissue and towels otherwise you really wouldn't get to see the shape). I'm going to search the rehab thread for washing Sonoma bags (since it has a lining) and I hope there is a suggestion/hope for reshaping crooked/slanted handles. I also may do a board search for inserts I could maybe buy to put in the bags to help them stand a bit.

Great looking bags, polkadots55!

I have purchased several felt inserts from Amazon. I don’t have a specific brand; I search based on the size I need. I’ve spent $8-$20/insert. I find them extremely useful in support & organization.

The taupes I've seen IRL seem lighter than that swatch. Taupe usually doesn't have any red in it. It is halfway between gray and brown.

I agree with whateve about taupe being lighter than that swatch & she explains the color perfectly! :)

I had one once. You can't fit a full sized long wallet. I could fit a card case, coin purse, sunglasses, key and phone.

@whateve @sarahgrace84 Thanks *so* much to both of your for your detailed replies! Very helpful! =D

Based on that, I think the Pocket Purse will likely be manageable for me for work. (We'll see; hopefully the size doesn't drive me crazy.)

Thanks again!

Yay glad you got your money back. Did you see thehe seller listed the bag on Posh? It makes me laugh because I think Hyacinth said it once that all fakes end up there for sale or something like that.
I went to my local flea market yesterday to see if my pony was ready for pick up . There were several decent vintage bags but as many fakes. There was a guy who had a table with about 7 blacks bags only, all fakes. I mean, as in, you could tell just by looking at them, not lying. So if fakes don’t end up on Posh, apparently they go to this guy, ugh.
Side note, No, my pony was not there [yet !] but I found a lovely yellow 2010 tote, so that will tide me over until I find something vintage in a HG late 90s color

Hi everyone!

I'm hoping to ask about the Pocket Purse (style No. 9755).

Any opinion about how much stuff it holds?

I've been searching for information about this style and what fits, but haven't found a lot of info.

(I don't need it to fit a tonne of stuff; mostly just the things I bring when I go for lunch near my office.)

P.S. If anyone happens to have a photo of what fits inside your Pocket Purse (or if you have a link to something like that), that'd be cool.

=)

I can pull mine out later and take a photo.

I would love a Gramercy NS satchel! I was just looking at them in a catalog I just bought! I am wondering how well the pig skin lining cleans up.

Many have answered the Taupe/Mahogany question and I will add to it. I have been carrying my Patti in Taupe all week. I will take a photo with my Ranch /Berkeley flap in Mahogany with it and see if my photo skills can do it the job. I am drawn to the deep warm chocolate of the various shades of mahogany. The cooler Taupe is immediately noticeable if you see it in real life.
Side note, it was not love at first sight with Taupe for me. But the bag grew on me. I believe it was the smooshy flap.

What is a Patti bag? Couldn't find anything when I searched that name.
