Black retro lindy. I'm amazed that this bag can fit quite a bit! I'm now on the lookout for the other colours.

I just love seeing all the different vintage bags in the catalog pictures.....I want them all. :smile1:

I have been using my vintage Sonoma, with the zipper and all the magnetic closure pockets....absolutely love this bag. I have the black, now I'm looking for a British Tan and dark green. There's a BT on Etsy, but she's asking almost $200 and it has a couple of pen marks.

Hi, I have an older Coach purse. Kind of in the style of a binocula/spectator bag but smaller and with a medium losbster claw clasp closure rather than a turn lock. It is 10" wide, 3-1/2" deep and 6-1/2" tall. The stamp says made in New york city, the strap buckle looks good (No "Solid Brass") emboss, the tag looks good, Coach leatherware, all solid brass pieces. BUT...It has No serial number, not even faint, and the main body leather is suspect...feels somewhat pleather or very soft leather. Please Help. Looking for authenticity first, then a name if possible. Thanks in advance! I'm including pics. originalnw1.jpg

You should post this in the authenticate thread so Hyacinth can look at it here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-855067-500.html#post27447642

I've never seen this style but that doesn't mean it isn't authentic. If it is authentic, it would have been made in the mid 70s when Coach first started using the creed but before they started using serial numbers. It worries me that the brass looks so shiny. Back in the 70s Coach didn't put a shellac coating on their brass. The bag just doesn't look that old.
