Vintage Coach Photos & Chat

Very early this morning, I woke randomly and of course decided to check eBay. This beautiful vintage glue-on serial number Skinny Tote had just been listed at some point, but probably not for very long.

For some reason, in my tired early morning brain, I decided to look up vintage catalog photos for a few minutes and verify some details of the bag... and when I returned, it had sold. It was literally a matter of minutes! I am kicking myself for this one getting away, so I sure hope one of our tPf Coach collectors here snagged this

As some consolation I did find an excellent condition style 506 Waist Pouch (XS/S) in British Tan, which appeals to me since I don’t see them very frequently and I’m trying to find and collect pieces that are somewhat unique / not as common.

Stumbled upon this tonight… I did not expect to see a full pug portrait. While I won’t be buying it myself, I love it for the intention behind it. I think it’s very sweet.

Frankly, if it had a golden retriever portrait, I’d already have bought it out of appreciation for the artist (and my love of goldens)

I appreciate that it is on the back so you can choose which side to wear out.

"Size: small but not too small." I'm sure that's different for everyone.

Or, one could buy the bag and use this: (hopefully those aren't plastic googlie eyes glued on there).

Art is is the eyes of the beholder. Don't know if you've seen this one we discussed earlier.

Does anyone here own any of the vintage Coach key squeeze pouches? Or even one of the foldable key cases? If so, would you be willing to share photos of yours and tell me how you like them? (And if you don’t use them but have them, photos are still appreciated  )

I’m looking for a nicer way to store my keys than having them bounce around in my purses free and un-contained on their key ring, but the prices on the ones I’m seeing online are a bit high. So I’d love to know if you find them durable, functional, enjoy using them, etc.

To be considered 'vintage' bags need to be at least 20 years, so all of the bags that were made in 1994 with the 'new' (and logical for Coach) serial numbering system become vintage this year!

Great idea to start this thread Cameochi!

This is my favourite and oldest vintage Coach: a pre-creed watermelon tote.
Your bag is so gorgeous! I’m drooling. Hopefully I find one similar some day.

I see 2 squeeze cases for sale $45. Too small for my keys. this multi wallet is too small also , thought for sure my keys would fit.so I just got this Pac-Man ghost and my 2 fobs and keys fit. I have a lot of keys. I use the multi wallet for cash and cards.

Thanks for sharing photos of what you have. Love your cute little Pac-Man pouch! I’ve never seen one like that.

I don’t carry many keys, really just my car key, house key, mail key… even with just three, I do worry about their affect on the inside of my lined and unlined bags, to the point I usually ask my husband to carry my keys in his pocket

I ended up sending an offer to a seller for a Coach key squeeze case and it was accepted… it is in need of a little conditioning, but I am excited to see one in person and see how it works out for me. Now my hunt for a vintage Coach pen case (I’m sure they exist!) continues on…

Non-Coach: I have a neat wallet I got as an extra item from a Kickstarter project I supported many years ago. I hate the bag (what I originally was buying) and never used it — it collects dust in the closet — but actually really liked the wallet. The company is still in business and the design of the wallet has likely been improved since then, but the wallet I received still works fine. The cards slide in, and there is a mechanism at the bottom that when I slide it over, the cards come up and out enough that I can grab the one I want. I’ve never seen another wallet like it (but I also haven’t looked much) so I don’t even know what I would call its style. I only wish the one I have was real leather and not faux leather, as I appreciate the longevity of real leather (even though this wallet is holding up pretty well:smile:). They do offer real leather on their site now but again, I got this many years ago when they were raising money for their company, so choices were limited:smile:
