wow! I didn’t know that. I would be a sad crafter without HL. Guess I’m spoiled here for complaining that the nearest Joann’s is 9 miles away from me.

Can you believe we don’t have Joann’s stores either?!

I used to love sewing & going to hobby/craft stores but the more I got into vintage coach, the more my other interests got left on the back burner (& have basically burnt to a crisp at this point lol).

Hey folks, has anyone ever used a purse organizer inside their 9966 to help keep its shape and protect the interior? I was thinking this one could be interesting. Thoughts?

Sorry - I'm very late to the game on this one but in searching for an organizer for my 4920, I remembered your post. My large size just arrived today and it is well made. I can't speak as to how it would work for your 9966, but it seems to be a great fit for my 4920. Weight was a concern as I have a felt organizer for another bag, and even though this organizer weighs only a tiny bit less, the felt organizer just seems heavier. Maybe because I equate felt fabric with cold weather. :wondering:
Did you get this organizer for your 9966?

Iowa is getting crapped on with snow again. I got stuck on the off ramp from the interstate. I was using my windshield scraper/brush to clear up my drive lane 3 feet at a time. Then a nice person stopped and said he’d push my car.

then I got to my unplowed subdivision and am stuck in the snow. Of course as my car is on the street, the plow will skip our circle.

eta: snow photos for effect and my mail items from today to make it about my new not yet vintage bag.

Brrrrr, those pictures brought back memories from this winter. It stinks when you get all the way home after a long drive in the pouring snow just to find out your road hasn't been plowed.

Hopefully someone can make a vintage bag style recommendation. Although I love the look of the Scooter and so many other small bags, they simply don't work for me. The same with backpack styles. I have now acquired far too many bags and have spent far too much money for bags that have proven to be the wrong style/fit for me....or are just too heavy. I'm not a collector, just someone searching for the "right" thing. I don't change bags frequently and tend to carry the same contents all the time.
Finally, I've narrowed it down to these needs:
A shoulder bag with an adjustable strap, at least one outside pocket, a top zip closure and at least one inside pocket that zips (I could add a bag organizer if other pockets or sections aren't already in the bag). Everything falling to the bottom is a pet peeve. It must hold a wallet, card case, keys, eyeglasses, phone, tissues and such. Admittedly I'm a bit hard on a bag, so a pebbled leather bag is more forgiving, but I could learn to live with a smooth leather bag if it's the right size.
This is a tall order I know, but does anyone have a suggestion or thought? Thank you!!

One option would be a Legacy zip 9966. I don’t know if that is too big for you also it might be heavy. I don’t have one in my collection yet so I can not personally speak on its weight. For medium sized bag, I love carrying my Lunchbox and Devon. Look at this thread

Sonoma bags, maybe a small bucket zip or a pocket zip.

Thank you @Yrelle for the suggestions. I appreciate your time! The Devon is really nice, but the dimensions I found would mean it's likely too small for my needs. The Legacy 9966 might work - it is definitely NOT too big but as you mentioned, weight could be an issue.

Thank you @whateve for the info! Those each seem to be good sizes too. The 4907 doesn't seem to have an outside pocket, correct? The 4924 sounds good though. I saw info for a 4316 - do you know how it compares to the 4924? Online listings for 4316 seem to be non-existent.
Yeah, I forgot about the outside pocket requirement. 4907 doesn't have one. 4316 is a little bigger than 4924. They are really hard to find.

4924 is great for organization. It has a lot of pockets and compartments.

One of my favorite things about Sonomas is the strap adjustment.

I like that style strap adjustment too. Any guesses as to why the 4316 is hard to find? What period of time did Coach offer it?
