OC isn't representative of the US. It is a very congested crowded place. I live in California but avoid So Cal as much as I can. I hate the traffic. It is car centric where I live too but there are places to park, and once we park we can walk from one shop to another. Much of California is full of agriculture; where I live, we have open fields, orange groves, and almost as many cows as people.

If you go to NYC, you'll take public transport and walk everywhere. When I visited my daughter in NYC, I was exhausted after 3 days.
I like the walking, public transit cities. Six months in the countryside and I’m finally finding a rhythm in driving a standard on the opposite side of the road with random tractors blocking the tiny winding goat paths that are now paved roads  Please take me back to a land of subway stations!

Currant companion to replace the currant Willis I re-homed. The size of the companion is much better for me than the Willis so Im really glad I made the switch

Sighhhh that’s gorgeous. Heading over to the comparison thread right now to learn more about these beauties. I’m thinking compartment bag as well in my future

There was a black one recently for $102 & it sat around for a while! I was surprised it took as long as it did to sell.
Really. I have been following auctions and looking at sold listings and people have been willing to pay a lot of money for bags (ie, $350 for a burg Stew on GW, $150 for a purple Evertt) so yes, that is surprising!

I love the countryside. We drove past these sheep today on the way to lunch. I don't think I could ever learn to drive on the other side of the road!

I recently bought my black Bella court from a seller I’ve done business with for $75. It’s in great shape except it needs a dunking and conditioning. Mainly just to reshape it and restore color on the bottom edges. It’s basically a Watson with a handle and very small. I didn’t want to spend more than $100!
